4 nights vs 5 nights on the Best Rate Program

I've been debating back and forth between resorts for my Dec trip. I just bit the bullet and booked a split stay for 12/09-12/18. I'm spending five nights at POFQ and four nights at CS. The funny thing was that I originally entered POFQ for four nights (9th-13th) and it wasn't available. They offered me CB as an alternate. After remembering some things I had read on here, I changed my nights from four to five and had no trouble booking a standard room at POFQ (even though preferred water view came up first). CS was available in all combinations for those dates. After I got my confirmation numbers, I printed out the pages and double checked that under 'Special Rate Type' it says 'Passholder Best Rate Program' on both. It does, so I guess I'm set.

I had been hesitating because I knew I wanted to do a split stay and hated to pay two nonrefundable deposits, but decided I was definitely going anyway, so I might as well get the best possible rate. Even if the rates don't come down, $94.00/night plus tax is still alot better than paying rack. The only other thing I don't like about this program is that you can't pay your balance off until you get there. I like knowing my trip is paid for before I leave home.

Someone please tell me I'm going to like POFQ and CS. I had been thinking about All Star Music for 3 nights, a moderate for 3 nights, and AKL for three nights, but couldn't decide between POFQ and CS, so decided to just stay at both moderates instead.

I think you did just fine and will have a great trip. This is a good way to check out various resorts.
Enjoy! :teeth:

We really enjoy POFQ. It is much smaller than CS so you will experience two completely different types of resort with similar services. Be sure to try to catch Piano man Bob down at PORiverside in the lounge. He is absolutely wonderful.

The theme at POFQ is New Orleans but a cleaned up version. The rooms were just renovated so everything should be fresh. We were just there in Feb/March and had a great experience. If you get tired of the POFQ food court be sure to take the walk along the river to Riverside. They have a larger food court and the walk is very nice. Also, there is a boat to Downtown Disney which is a nice ride. It takes you along the river and gives you a view not available any other way.

I'm sure you will enjoy POFQ. Since we live in the SW the CS doesn't have much appeal. Just like being at home. We always split our Nov/Dec stay between the POFQ and the AKL. We enjoy both places.
