March and Nov prices seem pricey so I'm looking at Sept 06 and wondered if anyone got FL discounts on the 4 night cruise in Sept 05 that includes Labor day. I know FL discounts are usually avail in Sept but wondered if they didn't discount the cruise that overlaps with the holiday. Thanks.

The four day cruise that includes Labor Day in 05 is the DVC member cruise. So it isn't really a good comparison for 06.

I haven't seen anything for cruise fl resident rates but have you checked out the fl resident deals for WDW....hotel, park tickets and meals for 3 nights, 2 adults, 2 kids at port orlens for 934, for the lower hotel like pop century it's as low as mid 700. go on the wdw site to fl resident rates..i know not the same but since we haven't been to parks in awhile (had Park burnout after a few years of passholding) it should be fun.

I talked to a TA yesterday about fla rates and she said they may or may not because the business right now is so good... we are considering changing our may 2006 cruise to the end of October. I too was hoping a fla resident rate would come out.. only time will tell.

My theory is that DCL does not need to release FL Res pricing this summer (DCL typically introduces these discounts 70-80 days prior to a cruise date, or sometimes as little as 60 days out, so beyond August the pricing wouldnt be out anyway).....The Magic is on a super popular west coast swing and is surely selling out w/o the help of us Floridians....That leaves the Wonder as the sole DCL ship on the east coast....So, everyone wanting to cruise out of Florida at a reasonable rate (it looks like DCL is charging a premium for the west coast cruises), including Floridians, East Coasters, Europeans,Midwesterners et al have only one choice this summer, so the popularity of the Wonder is surely enhanced....

What I am hoping is that once things get back to business as usual (in terms of positioning ) then DCL will let us Floridians have our discount back....Since Magic will be back in FL as of 9/3, I am hoping DCL will release The FL res discount soon for my upcoming 9/1 3 day....I would expect to save another $300 for DS and I.....

could be. I just have to be happy with the rate we got for our next cruise and be pleasantly surprised if they do come out for when we sale again.. :flower:
