Trying 4 new restaurants out of 5. What do y'all think of them?
1. Rose&Crown
2. O'Hana
3. Fantasmic package at H&V, mostly because it's a character dinner w/Minnie
4. Boma

Only repeat is 8:10am bfast at CP.

Love Rose and Crown and OHana dinners in the past. Great experience and food every time.
Only have done H&V breakfast, but loved it.
Doing Boma for the first time in June, and very much looking forward to it.

Trying OHana breakfast in June, as well as H&V breakfast again.
Also have CP breakfast scheduled too, a must do every trip. PreParkmopening when possible...

Enjoy! And go to OHana hungry...so much food...
And enjoy the beers and whisky at Rose and Crown. Don't get the fish and chips, same as outside at the stand for a higher price...try something different. It is all great!

Love Rose and Crown and Boma. Two faves. Boma is probably in my Top 5 places to eat in WDW.

O'hana has been hit or miss over the past couple of years for us. It's dropped lower on the list because of that. Sometimes the service and food is excellent, and there have been other times that both were lousy.

It's been several years since we've been to H&V, so I won't offer opinions on that.

Have a great trip! :)

We go in July. Yeah, I was excited to get CP at 8:10 as I booked at about 150 days out. I will be getting steak at R&C as I don't like fish.

We cancelled O'Hana on our last trip because of conflicting reviews and we were paying oop. We're doing dp this time so it'll be a little easier to take. We did get an early ADR so hopefully we at least won't have to deal w/late seating. Thanks for your reply

We've been to all of them BUT Minnie's party Dine outshone all of them simply because of the really great character interaction! And the buffet was surprisingly excellent! And Minnie is soooo cute! ♡♡♡
I know everyone says get the fish & chips at the Rose, but I'm here to tell ya, the vegetarian shephends pie was to die for!!!
Boma has some really unique and wonderful foods, love love love their soups!
O'Hana has slipped IMHO, but you may go and love it!
It's so much fun to plan the dining as well as the attractions, n'est pas?

I LOVED 'Ohana! Was there in January (on the DDP) and it was so great, we ended up going a second time!
The service was pretty slow and it took a while to be seated even though we had an ADR but we just loved it. :)

We love O'Hana. It is a must do every trip. CP is also one of our favorites. We tried Boma last trip and I wasn't a fan but the rest of the family really enjoyed the food and experience. We have never eaten at Rose & Crown or Hollywood and Vine. Have a great trip.

I can't comment on Rose & Crown; I have never been there and overall the menu does not woe me away from the so many other options in Epcot. However, the reviews are very favorable of R&C.

I so much want to say I love 'Ohana, but that is not the case. It use to be a must do for us but they have changed too many things for my liking. Also, while I am a big time carnivore, it's just been too dry and underwhelming of late. It is no longer on our must do list.

I like the Fantasmic Dining Package but H&V is not a choice for me. In my opinion it is typical institutional buffet food fodder that is just not very good and made for mass numbers of people to scoop up. However, there have been many who have said the character experience was very nice. There have even been some who say the buffet food is not bad either. Perhaps it's the pixie dust affect with the characters that is making the food taste better or they also love Golden Corral. And who knows, maybe, just maybe the food has improved from a couple of years ago. It's buffet food and I doubt it's any better today than back then. However, take my opinion of H&V with a grain of salt... I really don't like many buffets which now leads me to the next restaurant.

Boma is the buffet restaurant that is truly an exception when it comes to buffet restaurants. Boma is perhaps one of the finest buffet restaurants that I have dined at. I still will not call it fantastic or great, but IMO it is good. It truly stands out as much more than mass produced buffet food fodder as is H&V or just about any other lunch/dinner buffet found in WDW, a Golden Corral or any local Chinese buffet restaurant. Boma is not a must do for me, but it is one of only two buffets in Disney we will eat at other than breakfast and do go there occasionally. And coming from a buffet hater, that is a big time complement to Boma.

I also love your choice to keep CP and your early entry into the MK. While I am not a fan of buffets, I do enjoy a few breakfast buffets and really do enjoy CP and is always on our ADR list for early entry. The Breakfast Lasagna is a total addiction for me.

Congrats!

-We liked R&C, it was pretty good.
-Ohana was terrible....very poor quality food. And our ADR was at 530pm! We had the DP (Free dining) so I felt better knowing that I didnt pay out of pocket. I wouldve been ticked otherwise.
-I've had Boma breakfast, it was good, but I havent tried dinner. Heard it was really good.

Cant comment on H&V, havent been. Kinda scared to. lol

Be afraid, be very afraid!

Boma....we LOVE it. We usually visit every trip.

Rose and Crown was good but not a must do for us. We both had the fish and chips, Scotch eggs and cocktails and they were tasty.

We used to enjoy 'Ohana but haven't gone there in several years and the recent reviews are not encouraging.

We went to Hollywood and Vine before it was a character meal and it was ok for a theme park buffet. We don't do character meals so I doubt we'll return anytime soon.

We did 2/4 of these on our January trip. R&C was awesome, H&V decidedly less so (and we're in the minority and have liked H&V). The move to a character meal made it feel more crowded and they seemed to have a hard time keeping the buffet straight and stocked. We probably won't be back to H&V for those reasons, but the character interaction was good so if you're going for that reason I can see where it might be more enjoyable.

I've never been to R&C (but one of my friends goes almost every trip and swears by it). I haven't been to H&V in years, so I'm sure it changed. It wasn't anything special, but I imagine the characters will add to the atmosphere. Love Boma for both breakfast and dinner. Ohana is one of my favorites there. I went in January after the marathon and the food and service were excellent. Two of my friends who were going to go with me couldn't, so I debated cancelling my ADR because of the cost and being my first marathon, I wasn't sure how hungry I'd be. Then I started looking at Kona Cafe, Boathouse and a few others and realized I'd probably end up paying more ordering off the menu, so I went anyhow. My 15 year old daughter's only request for me to bring back was bread from Ohana, and the server came back with two loaves in a to go box, so it just solidified the service in my mind.

have done one two and three of your choices..but not Boma...we loved them all

if you could change Hollywood and Vile for something different I'd do it.

:rotfl2:

Seriously, though...I agree.

Boma is amazing!!! Love love love it!
Ohana, I can take or leave. I enjoy it but it's not a must do.
Rose and Crown is good, but you can get the fish and chips for half price at the QS. It's not somewhere I would choose over the many other amazing WS dining.

We haven't been to Boma for dinner in a few years but enjoyed it when we went there. DH and I just did breakfast last month and LOVED it. We've done 'Ohana dinner twice and it was fine. DH enjoys it, our boys think it's pretty good and I tend to fill up on everything you get before the meats. Both times the steak/chicken were ok but DH and one DS went to town on the shrimp. It's been 3 years since we been though, and as you know the reviews are mixed. I'd keep it this time though, you may love it! Either way at least it'll be off your "to do" list.
