Well, we were on the Mgic back in August of 2004 - the first "Hurricane Cruise". I actually don't have anything too profound to say here - just that I think of our cruise as the best vacation we (me, wife, 2 boys 12 & 16) ever had. We literally talk about it and remember it every day. Kind of depressing that we don't have another one planned (yet). I'm thinking we have a choice - college in 2 years or a cruise......

Just wanted to say that for those of you planning your first Disney cruise - get ready for the experience of a lifetime - and when it's over - try not to think about it too often - especially when it's 20 degrees outside.

We had a period of major withdraw afterwards. Booking another does take the edge off, but not completely!! Especially when its still 500 days away :-(

I was just reading an article on DCL in my travel magazine and it makes me almost home sick!! :sad1:
Such good memories!!! :goodvibes

I know what you mean. We figured we already spent ds's 1st year of college on the last one, why not spend the next year!!! LOL!!!

Actually, it is nice having so long to pay for it. I have it spread out in easier payments until April 2006. The time is going faster than I thought it would.

Lisa, by the looks of your countdown clock, you are probably on after us. We get off the Magic on July 1, 2006. We'll try not to eat all the food!!!!

I know... We miss the Magic SO MUCH that we are spending a FORTUNE to cruise on one of the West Coast cruises, we just couldn't wait any longer!!! We also plan on rebooking on board for July 8, 2006, so Lorie don't eat all the food!!!!

we disembarked on december 4th from the magic and

1. i have not gotten into the holiday spirit
2. we talk about the trip everyday
3. i'm on disboards every chance i get just to feel close to DCL disers
4. i go to disneycruise dot com just to listen to the audio music
5. i have not been back to Disneyland (i'm a passholder) because i know DL will not live up to the fantastic DCL time I had.
6. i had 4 front center tickets to see disney on ice monsters inc and sold it for 1/2 the price.
7. my DD-6 repeats what i say about selling my house and living on the Magic forever.

okay, do i need therapy or what??

We missed the Magic so much that DW and I booked the special 4 day sailing of the Magic sailing on January 4, 2005. Our next cruise "planned" after that is for August 19, 2006 with two stops at Castaway Cay. I don't know how we are going to make it from January 2005 until August 2006, geez, we might have to sneak in a short cruise on the Wonder just to quench our thirst!!!

We were also on the 12/04/04 Western. However, the four of us are in WDW withdrawals and not the Magic withdrawals. Instead of re-booking on board which I thought we would do, we are planning on 10 nights at WDW in the fall.

Man oh man....I am getting depressed all over again. I truly thought my initial depression after my Jan cruise was because I had gotten in a big fight with my brother and sister while on board, but after being on these boards for a while, I have realized that it wasnt and that I was not alone in feeling saddened that it was over and just how much I missed it. Can someone please tell me that the 2nd time.....I wont have those feelings again because they were very very strong sad feelings....and I hated it. I go again in January...boy oh boy....I dont look forward to the day I come home :(

Wow, I'm surprised to read that. I'm a DVCer and if I had my way I'd live at the Boardwalk. My fear is that DCL won't live up to my WDW experiences.

Of course, in all fairness, WDW is a completely different experience than Disneyland.

I'm sure I'll be depressed when we disembark as well. I always get depressed on the last day of a WDW stay, to the point that that day is pretty much a waste for me. I hate that, but can't seem to shake it. :( THere's no hope for us Disney addicts!
