4-day pass upgrade to AP with payment plan?

I can't find the huge ticket thread that used to be a sticky, so I'm hoping someone will have experience with this.

My husband "won" (bought at a deep discount) a certificate for a 4 day pass. We haven't received it yet to see what exactly it is or what the wording is, but he understood it to be a certificate that needs to be turned into Guest Relations to be exchanged for an actual 4-day pass.

However, I want to do the Florida resident monthly payment plan for our passes. How would this work, if at all? I called the ticket phone line for WDW and was met with confusion and circles of transfers. Has anyone tried this before?

I would say that if it's been deeply discounted, that it can't be upgraded.

If he won/bought (not sure what you mean by won but paid for? raffle?) severally discounted tickets especially of the variety that have to be picked up at GR you husband either got duped into fake tickets or they are not a type that can be upgraded.

Was this at a silent auction? Those are usually (4) one-day passes, and they're complementary tickets that Disney gives out for charitable purposes. They are not upgrade-able in any way whatsoever.

I was going to say use them once and then try, but from what others are saying they probably won't be upgradable
