4 become 10: Day 3 Animal Kingdom

Sunday 25th September

Another early start, we had an ADR for Tusker House at 8am....everyone was instructed to wear their mickey/Minnie conquering the world tshirts that I had made and we were on the AK bus by 7.30.

It was lovely walking through a quiet park

We checked in and were soon having our photo with Donald

We had never eaten at Tusker House before, so this was another new thing for us and we realy enjoyed it. The Jungle Juice was lovely....Moli had soooo many glasses. The resturant wasn't very full and before we knew it, the characters were comming to see us.

Goofy was so tall he kept bumping his head on the low ceiling, this made the kids laugh.

After breakfast we went on safari....it was a walk on and we saw sooooo many animals

While on Safari we had a long wait because of anilmals on the track....which resulted in a huge line of trucks and a ranger trying to pass us all..... well we soon got very hot as we were sat at the back of the truck and the sun was on us......while we were waiting and watching the Elephants, the one....well....got rather excited......us adults couldn't stop laughing (we were behaving like 5 year olds).......the kids couldn't understand what was wrong with us..........I didn't take a photo, I was too busy laughing

we bumped into Terk and he didn't have a line, so it would be rude not to say hello

We followed the path after seeing Terk and came across these guys

King Loui was so fun...he kept kissing Bethan and then he grabbed my mam for a hug and kept kissing her....we were ages with them and it was one of the best character interactions.....my mam loved it

Next we headed to Kali River Rapids....again a walk on.....We got soaked, so decided to ride it again.....not one of us had a dry patch. When we got off the second time, the people in the line couldn't believe how wet we were.......they were all saying they didn't think they would get that wet.

We all loved it.......and then headed onto Everest.....this was another first for me.......and I wasn't too keen.....but yet again my little dare devil, Moli loved it

We were going to watch the nemo musical but they had cancelled the next showing.....so we settled for a frozen lemonade in dinoland

Moli was looking forward to riding Primeval whirl as she was too short on our last trip........typically it was shut....Moli was so upset

Some of the group wanted to ride Dinosaur.....I waited with the bags and my Nephew.....Moli went on but this time she didn't like it much, she said she had her eyes cosed all the way through.

Next was tough to be a bug.....this is so fun.....and even though we have seen it before it still makes me jump. I love the walk to this ride and like to look at the animals in the rock.

We had counter service at Yak and Yeti....this is a fav of ours, just a shame it's so hot to eat outside.

We then headed back to the hotel for some pool time.

We had a 7.30 dinner reservation at 1900 Park Fair. Rich drove to the Grand Floridian but we still had to park miles away from the entrance. I love this hotel it's so beautiful. We were a bit eary so we had a look around as my parents and sis had never been here before.

We checked in and had to wait about 20mins for our table. We were seated at two tables as they didn't have a bigger one available.

Moli had her Anastasia dress on and was nearly hyperventalationg while she was waiting.....Lady Tramaine was the first one to come to our table, she kept calling Moli Anistasia

Next came Anastasia, she chatted with Moli for quite a while.

Next came Drisella.....who wasn't very happy that Moli was dressed like Anastasia...so we assured Drissella it was only because Moli liked pink.....she was happy but told Ieuan he should dress as her next time

Prince Charming was next and to be honest Moli hasn't alot of time for him, as compared to the step sisters.....he's a bit boring

Then it was Cinderella who asked if Moli was kind

The food was ok but nothing special....to be honest we book here for the character interaction.

At the end of the meal, Moli had her head on the table......Lady Tramaine shouted over 'Anistasia sit up straight'

After dinner we went straight back to AKL and into bed

I cant believe the amount of times we wre in the same place at the same time but didnt see each other!!
Another fab day, makes me regret that we cacelled 1900 park fare. Oh well always next time!!

Another great review - never seen an Anastasia outfit before

DH was reading your trip report with me the other day and swears he saw your eldest son while we were there.

I love the character interaction at 1900 but I think the food has got worse, it was alot better in 2009.

If he was sitting on his own with a pushchair and a load of bags than it wad probably Ben - bless him he doesn't do many of the rides!!

We are hoping for October next year but it all hi he's on flight prices if not it will be May 2013 which seems ages off!!!

1900 PF is good interaction, but the noise was really loud. I like the buffet food here, especially the seafood medley and the salmon.

I got it back in 2009 from an etsy seller....I was lucky it still fit her this year.....prob the last time she'll wear it....makes me soooo sad

Tusker House wasn't at the top of our list as we are not huge breakfast eaters but to be honest the reason we booked it was for the characters and getting into the park early.......as a bonus we enjoyed the food

I think 1900 PF has gone down hill, back in 2009 we realy enjoyed the food but it wasn't a patch on that this year.

We're definitely doing Tusker House next year for the characters but I have two fussy eaters in the family and they wouldn't like 1900 Park Fair - shame as the characters look awesome - the stepmother must use heaps of Creme de la Mer
