My kids are all over the age of 18 and still love to go to Disney World. What are resort options for having 4 adults in a room?

Every Disney resort has rooms that sleep at least 4 adults, so your options are wide open.

With the exception of family suites at ASMu and AoA, the Cabins at Fort Wilderness, and the deluxe villa resorts, the room rates are quoted as double occupancy, meaning they are valid for two adults in the room. Since you'll have two extra adults, there will be an extra per-night charge for those two adults. The charge varies with the resort level: $10 per extra adult per night for values, $15 for moderates, $25 for deluxes.

i would definitely stick to a moderate or even a deluxe if it is in your price range.
CSR, POFQ & POR are great moderate resorts- lots of amenities and are not too long from the parks.

deluxe resorts are very convenient if you like to go to the parks any time. i'd recommend BW, BC & YC if you are more into Epcot. If you like MK stay at Poly or BL.

since you are a family of 4, you have a lot of options.

every resort sleeps at least 4 adults.
i've slept in a double bed at a value with my sister and with with my bff.
its not ideal but certainly doable.
personally though what i'd rather do and many times have done is book 2 rooms.
then everyone gets their own bed so especially if you're looking into a value that is what i'd suggest.

It depends what the dynamics are. I'd it parents plus 2 adult kids? Same sex or brother and sister.
My adult daughters will share a queen bed but prefer separate beds. At most deluxe resorts rooms have 2 queens plus daybed. If they are brothers or brother & Sister they'll def want this option.

I would not like four adults in a value. IMHO one should not be forced to share a double bed with another human (with whom they don't wish to procreate).

Lol. I agree with this! For 4 adults in one room, i'd definitely go with a moderate due to the queen beds. Or, price out 2 rooms at a value. As another poster stated, at least this way everyone would get their own bed. I'd price out both options and decide that way.

Not sure if you thought of this, but having 4 adults all trying to use the same bathroom to get ready can be time consuming. I know when my sister and I went with my parents 20 years ago (we were 21 and 24), we stayed in a separate room not only for privacy but also for the extra bathroom.

We've done 3 adults in a mod with no problem. As long as the 4th was our adult child, we could have done 4 adults in the room.

Yes, 4 using the bathroom can be a pain. But because Disney puts the sink outside of the room with the shower, it it easier than one would think.

If you're interested in a value resort, I'd go with two rooms. You can request connecting, but honestly the kids may prefer not to do so (LOL)!

Either way, I'd have two rooms if it were me. I need some privacy to sleep, and we gave up all of us in one room once my kids were about 9 or so. So when we travel, if it's a hotel (not a condo like DVC) we get two rooms if it's the 4 of us. It makes for a better night of sleep.

My DH, me, my 2 year old, MIL, and FIL all stayed in an AKL room for a week. It was fine. DH, me, 2 year old in one bed and MIL and FIL in another bed.

If I were to do it again, I would probably choose 2 value rooms over a deluxe. The value suites at AoA would also work but that is a more expensive option than one moderate room or 2 value rooms.

Well. This is exactly what my family is doing right now. We chose to stay at the value resorts, because we're all over 18 and the price of the values allows us to get two adjoining rooms. Its a little more comfortable, not only with four beds, but two bathrooms. Its easier on everyone, and a little less stressful. We've done single rooms in the past, and that hasn't been the most pleasant. Its really up to the family.

If it were us, we'd rent DVC points or get two rooms at a value or moderate. Two rooms may be preferable so you have the extra bathroom, but renting points for a DVC 1 BR will at least give you extra space than standard hotel room.

All resorts will accomodate 4 adults so the decision is mostly based on bed-sharing or not....

Well, we are doing 8 adults in 2 rooms at POP this December. Good thing it's a short trip! :scared:

We are leaning towards AoA suite. May give the 4 of us room to spread out. Poly was nice with the daybed but out of our price range for next trip.

We did 4 adults (all girls) in a room in business class at Coronado Springs last summer and it wasn't bad at all.

I think this is a good choice. Keeps you together, gives you two full bathrooms, and assuming the parents share the queen bed in the bedroom, the kids can battle out who sleeps on which bed in the main area.

We've done this before. It's doable, but not ideal. The trick is to not plan on spending hardly any time in the room except for sleep. If you're back at the reaort early, find a table by the pool and hang out there because you'll just be cramped and on top of each other in the room. The bathroom situation can be difficult. What worked for us is having two people get up earlier, get ready, then head out to the food court leaving more space for the other two to get ready.

You also might request a room facing a pool so that, in a pinch, if someone really needs to use the bathroom and someone else is in there, there's always a bathroom down by the pool! That might sound extreme, but believe me. When one person in our party had a bout of food poisoning/stomach virus, it was nice to have an extra bathroom nearby!!
