4/8/13 - Wonder 5 night Western - who's in?

Was wondering if anyone wanted to have a "meet & greet" once we get on board? :confused3

You read my mind! I was just thinking it was about time to start planning our disboard group meet. In the past, our groups have had them in the Promenade Lounge or up on the pool deck. Considering all the families with kids, I'd prefer to have ours up on the pool deck, near the Mickey or Goofy pools. We just need a sign, balloons, a big hat, or something so that we can find each other. How about sometime between 2:30 and 3:30? Or we can have a set time, like 3pm. :woohoo:

Any time sounds good for us....:cool1: This will be our 1st time on the Wonder so we are open to meet where ever is good for everyone. It'll be nice to finally put names with faces........:thumbsup2

Just can't believe that in 3 wks we'll be on the Wonder heading for sunny and warmer weather......:beach:

We will definitely attend a meet up on board - just let us know the time and place and we'll be there. Meeting by the pool sounds like a good idea - the kids will love swimming and playing near the pool. Is the plan to meet on the first day? If so, will the Goofy pool be available if they need it for the Sail Away party around 4p?

Mickey pool might be a better bet. I like the idea of the pool vs Promenade Lounge - my kids are more likely to be in better moods if I didn't make them get out of the water!! :thumbsup2

That is what I was thinking too. In the past, we've tried to sneak in a nap before the safety drill, but its really a wasted effort and my kids will be fine without it. Also, that will allow our kids to all meet each other too and start the cruise off playing straight away.

The Goofy pool (and everything else for that matter) will close at 3:30 to prepare for the safety drill, so why don't we plan to meet at 2:30 at the Mickey Pool. I'll try to snag a table and have some kind of identifier so folks can spot us.

Do we want to do a second cruise meet, maybe on the second day (sea day) so that folks that don't make it on embarkation day can still have an opportunity to meet each other? Its hard to guess what would be a good time, although I could check the navigators from a prior cruise and see what might be good if folks are interested.

Can't believe barely two weeks till we get packed up for the drive down to Miami! So looking forward to this trip.

That's probably a good idea.

We are up for a 2nd cruise meet the next day - just let us know where and we'll be there.

So, I've come up with our Dismeet name ... unless anyone has an objection. Its "The Most WONDERful Pirates Ever!" I'll have our name on a sign at our dismeets so that you know who/what to look for. ;)

After hemming and hawing for MONTHS over transportation and our "Seriously, Southwest?!?!?!" early flight time on Saturday after debark, I finally just rented a stinking car and am DONE, officially D*O*N*E with the last of things I needed to plan before this trip. Seriously, that was way too much of a time suck.

Now, about the 10million other things I need to do. Like FE gifts.................

:cool1:

Hi! We are traveling with extended family on this cruise and 5 kids in tow. We would love to participate in the fish extender fun! Is there somewhere I need to officially "sign-up for this or does it just happen? Any other super fun things we should know about and do? Thanks so much!!!

We would LOVE to do this. It is our first time doing a Disney Cruise and are unsure how to "sign-up". Who runs it? Let me know what you find out. It sounds like fun!!!

Thanks! :-)

Welcome to our group 5stims! Unfortunately, we closed the FE group list about two weeks ago so that everyone participating has enough time to prepare the gifts. I'm guessing that most folks, like me, have already completed assembling or preparing their FE gifts. Sorry! :(

However, we'd love to meet you, your kids, and extended family at one or both of our disgroup meets. The first one is on embarkation day at the Mickey Pool at 2:30pm and the second is on Tuesday (first sea day) in the Promenade Lounge at 2:30pm. Just look for the sign that says, "The Most WONDERful Pirates Ever!" pirate:

Sounds good. According to the navigators posted for this itinerary (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3050641) there's not too much going on at that time.

Love the group name! pirate:

If the itinerary is similar, the Disney Movie Trivia should just be finishing up when its time for our meet on Tuesday.

I think that we will start packing tonight, or at least get out our packing list and see what we can pulling out and "staging" for packing.

Can't believe that 2 weeks from today we'll be on the Wonder! After having about 4inches of snow overnight I'm ready for sunshine and warmer weather! Started packing yesterday. Now to unpack and take some extras out!
:)
