4/3 Deal Price Compared to Regular

I hear you--when the 4/3 deal was first announced we did the math and decided our free dining bounceback trip was a better deal. Then winter set it, we started to get the Disney itch, and last night we booked a 4/3 deal for spring break, lol.

It's the one time of year we've never been because I can't stand the thought of paying $135 a night for POP (heck, we only paid $149 a night for POFQ last September AND got free dining on top of it!), but deals like this don't come along very often, and are just too good to pass up!

Whow that is an amazing deal for the POFQ....

My exact sentiments!

We pay $150 for Coronado and get free dining (which costs approx 100/ day)... that - my friends - is a deal. If you stay at a Value... is a total steal!

When the 3/4 deal was annouced I thought I would go for a deluxe - maybe AKL Savannah or Poly. But the peak prices are nuts for anything but a Value.

Maybe I will do AKL with free dining... as we may only stay for 4 or 5 days in Aug/Sep.

4/3 saves you more at higher price points obviously. Free dining actually isnt the cheapest way to go for a lot of people as the dining plan isn't cost effective, its just convenient so if you want to save money you dont do it to begin with.

But OP, Spring break isn't one week. Ours is in February, a little early, and they go til mid April, which is equally late. Basically spring break is every single week from early march til the first week of April.

Why dont you post the price without for the exact same days and see what you save? I bet you save a lot more than 100 dollars.

Now if you want free dining and they were both being offered at the same time (I dont like going in september, its a hassle for a number of reasons) then you could compare them and even then you're comparing an add on to accomadation, but at least it'd be respectable if you wanted the dining anyways.

For my trip in May to POFQ we saved over 600 dollars and we're going in early may, one of the best times weather wise there is, moderate crowds etc. No dining ludicrousy where you cant get a seat in a restaurant and no 100 percent humidty with the threat of rain every day and chance of hurricane always there.

I would love to go in September, but as some mentioned, that is a hard time of year with school just starting. I feel like my son is just getting back into the swing of things even with school starting mid-August. We opted for February as flights were MUCH cheaper than March.

Our spring break starts March 13, so the first dates the OP mentioned are AFTER our spring break.

I love going in the fall!

I saved $775 dollars over what the regular price is for our trip in May 21-28 at CBR in a new Pirate room. We had previously stayed in Values but since we were saving money we upgraded to a Mod. The more expensive resort the more you save.

I was able to upgrade from moderate hotel to deluxe for $60 less and get the $200 GC.

If you want to buy non expiring tickets, the 4/3 deal will save you a lot. We are saving over $300 on tickets alone by getting them with this deal. You pay for the 7 day n.e. but you get 10 days. I think the 7 day fee is about $118 to make them N.E. and the 10 day fee is over $200.

I saved $2,200 on my trip with the 3/4 deal. I priced free dining for our tripa nd it would have been $1,200 so this deal really worked for me.

hmmm... I havent thought about this.. I was going just get one day passes (to upgrade later) as I have some n.e. passes w days left on them...

plus I get a good discount at work for Dis Tix (I work for a vendor to Disney) so I will have to compare which deal is better...

can u buy a 10day tix even though the room is for 7 days (I assume you could right)

One thing about the 4/3 deal is the real savings exist mostly on the Deluxe Resorts. Think about it:

All Star Movies - $100 x 3 nights free = $300 savings
Grand Floridian - $400 x 3 nights free = $1,200 savings

Yes--you can buy whatever ticket you want from a 1 day base ticket to a 10 non-expiring parkhopper with water parks and more. But the big savings is on the non-expiring part, since that amount increases with each day added. Parkhopping and water parks+ are just a flat $50 fee, so no extra savings on that for the longer tickets.
