We are planning on going May 1-8 staying at Boardwalk.

Now I know the 4/3 deal is currently not offered for those dates, but hypothetically speaking if they did include those dates which would be the better deal?

Scenario 1: renting points staying at the Boardwalk, 6 day park hopper tickets and 7 days of the regular dining plan. 2 adults and a 4 year old. The total will be around $2550.

I got a pin code for those dates for 40% off and it will end up being almost $1000 more using the pin code.

Scenario 2: So, what would it be if they offered the 4/3 for those dates and same cast, dinig plan and tickets with park hopper?

Could someone please help me figure this out. I have been racking my brain trying to figure out the best way.

Thank you!

I would just run your dates through Disneys website as if you were going in march using you same days of the week. I don't think the rates would be that different and you can see the 4/3 deal in action. Otherwise run the numbers for a normal stay and no discount then subtract three nights at the boardwalk. Maybe minus 1250? Depending on your room type.

Step 1 Subtract the cost of the dining plan and tickets from $2550

adult DP 42x7x2= 588
child DP 12x7 = 84
adult 6 day hopper 301.40 x 2= 602.8
child 6 day hopper 266.25
Total $1541.05

So, with points, you are paying roughly $1008.95 for your room.

Step 2 Calculate room only cost (rack rate) on website for your dates and room type for 4 nights. I don't think I have enough info on your room type. I assume you will be at Boardwalk Villas since you are renting DVC points...

For your dates, a one bedroom is $525 per night, so total for 4 nights would be $2363 with taxes included. A studio for those dates is $390, and the 4 night total would be $1755 with taxes. On top of that you would add back the $1541.05 for your tickets and dining.

Step 3 Compare

Whether you are in a studio or a one bedroom, renting points to cover your 7 night stay is cheaper than paying rack for 4 nights, then getting 3 nights free. Sounds like you have a pretty good deal there! :thumbsup2

Thank You for helping me.

I am currently going to rent a studio preferred view at the Boardwalk. I can't believe how much different the cost are. I thought with the 40% off pin that would be a great deal. When I found out it was going to be almost $1000 for the same thing with the 40% off I was in shock.

Now, I could have stayed at the CSR for $88 less. I figuredfor just $88 more why not stay at the Boardwalk.
