4/29/06 Eastern Magic...We're Going!!!!!

Pat is making dinner for us tomorrow night-Hannah requested Crab and shrimp.....I am doing the creme brulee, so i'd better get on foodtv.com and find a good recipe!

So, If I leave now, how long will it take me to get there? That was an invitation, right? Right? No....well, eat some for us! Bummed because we have NO plans for Vday! We were supposed to celebrate this weekend but with the snow had to cancel....and Ed leaves Wednesday for....PALM BEACH again! He supposed to be back Friday night - he'd better 'cause we have tickets to Disney on Ice! I WILL NOT drive into DC / MCI center by myself! I HATE to drive in DC!!!! I always get so lost but Ed knows it like the back of his hand! Used to do office moves, etc in DC so he knows. Me, I usually take the Metro but that even scares the beejeebers out of me. Scared I'm gonna get lost or miss my stop! Yup, that's right, call me Anal Annie!!

Diet Coke in hand - ready for the day. Had Catrina's 1 year apt this morning - she is topping in at just 20 pounds - time to reverse the car seat now! Now she can be corrupted by her brother's videos!

Pat won't be checking in for a while - She's probably just waking up now.

Off to see what's left in the ressie columns!

Was anybody able to book spa treatments??? Been trying since 3:30 am and it won't let me .... I was able to get palo and excursions but the SPA page won't upload??


Was really busy this AM, I had to do all of that and get my hotel booked also.

Hi Suzie-don't blame you... It is supposed to take us 2.5 hours to get to DC from here and honestly- it is never less than 3.5 when all is said and done, unless we are passing thru at 3 in the morning. We stay at the Hotel Monaco right across the street from the MCI center. It is a really neat place if you happen to pass it. It doesn't look like a hotel, it was a federal building of some sort WAY back when. THe tarriff building or something. Can't remember, maybe F street and something. The mexican restaurant right across the street from MCI is called Rosa Mexicano-THE BEST Guacamole in the world! Hope you get to go. Have fun.

Yes, we ALWAYS have too much fun when we are together!! If we aren't singing the mommy blues with our harmonica- or coming up with horrible drinks and then trying to cook together, we are "mounting" our reindeer in the front yard. The most hysterical part-our kids saw us doing it and practially peeing our pants....they were MOST concerned that we didn't have our coats or shoes on!!!

Today- after our 2 hour school delay-I am hopefully getting boat loads of Valentines orders out and delivered, putting together my tax stuff for my accountant tomorrow and cleaning for weekend guests on Friday(yes, that does take all week!).

CG- That is a huge relief in the car when both kids can see what is going on! Katie unfortunately is only 30 lbs at almost 5 years old. She won't be able to use the booster seat with the regular seat belt for quite a while! I think it is 5 years old and 40 lbs. I have to check. She is so upset!

yeah, but how fast can you mess it up? I had a perfectly clean house as of Saturday at 4pm - as of Sunday at 4pm you would think a toy mine exploded and we were starting a new winter clothes factory with the snow suits laying everywhere.

Doesn't that just stink!!! We live in a blown up toy factory as well. Actually I was cleaning Katie's room yesterday(she had junk knee deep on her floor) and I thought the pink mirabou factory blew up in her room!!!

I joke that we do 3 loads of laundry daily-light pink, dark pink and white.....

yeah, it was letting me in and able to book, I chose not to, though. Tight budget. Oh, and the roof began to leak last night after I came to bed at 4 am - yup, one of the hesitations was potential roof repairs on our NEW roof. Thanks Gods of irony as I just passed our desposit date! Ah well, cares to the wind, cares to the wind!

Suzie , we went to Disney on Ice in January , we saw Monsters Inc this time , but last year we saw the Hundred Years of Magic , both were amazing ! I thought about letting the girls get costumes for the cruise but I really don't want to pack anymore , I think we already probally already overweight . I know Jet blue is 70 or 75 pounds but coming home on Delta I believe it is only 50 . We are going to pack a small duffle in our suitcase just in case we are over .

Inthemood , I was still able to pull up lots of opeing for the Spa , I am not going to do anything this time I don't think but if I do I think it would be for DH for his B'day , maybe a massage at Castaway Cay . Don't know for sure yet .

We just went to the bank to get some travelers checks . That really makes it feel offical . I still have no idea how much to bring with me , I am swearing off the credit cards for awhile so I am not bringing them me . Does $300.00 for drinks sound about right ? Is soda free for the kids too? I know $200.00 for Bingo should do . The Disney portion of the trip is a seperate story , we did get some Disney dollars for that .

I AM JUST SO EXCITED!!!

The bummer is that I won't get to try the Key Lime Margarita (unless I can get a "virgin" one!)! And, oh no, the wine sessions! Okay, Yes, I will be the designated driver for all you lushes!

Even better is that my maternity clothes fit, so the only thing I will have to get is a formal gown! I have a semi-formal I loaned out to a friend who just had her baby last week! WOOHOO!!!

Tom - it really meant so much that you called! Julie, thanks for calling him! Ed says he will still be in on the hammock run because his prego wife will need it! HA! Is that a sympathy plug or what?!?!

Inthemood - hey, what about ginger now?! Was that prophetic or what? I had no idea when I pm'd you about that that I was pg! We can puke over the railing together, how's that?
