CG- I would say it is closer to long (like the first picture in the album on the other site). You know men- they like long hair. I had it shorter when the kids were babies as it was always in the way.

I really liked the short style you had and was coveting it - that is the reason for the question. I wish I could get my hair to do that. I keep it long, though, out of habit and laziness - I hate getting my hair cut.

CG - No, Tom and I were discussing Legacy Village. I am not familiar with Westgate Village - there is a Westgate Mall in Cleveland. I am 30-45 minutes from Cleveland so I do not know all of the shopping areas. I am in the Akron area - we do have a BJ's here. A Sam's also, but no Costco.

Hi all,sorry I haven't posted in a while.I just wasn't IN THE MOOD. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Only joking.

Tom...I did see your picture of the banana hammock.I like it so much that I am going to have an autograph seccion after the sail away party on deck 8 aft. :teeth:

Hope every one else is doing well.

right, that's right, because I am familiar with the developer of Legacy Village - but we also deal with the developer of Westgate too.

OK - sorry.

Yup, Akron is a very familiar topic around the office here. I spend a lot of time with it open on my desk - I am shocked that I haven't been sent out there. Instead, I get to go to Orlando - I'll take that any day.

O.k , how do i use the quote feature ? I feel like such a dummy !.

Mom2 ~ It was flattering , he did have a daughter with him . But I politely declined . He must have known I was married due to the bling bling on my finger . I have to say to had the best time doing all the parks by myself , it was the second time I did that and when I wasn't prego I got in all the single rider lines and of coarse got on almost immediately . That must have been amazing being grand marshalls lucky you !:cool1:

1. What is your favorite Disney Park?

Magic Kingdom of course - where eveyr little girl's dreams come true!!

2. What is your favorite Disney Ride?

It's a Small World - it's the one ride I remember the most from our first truip in 1972 - we just moved back to the States and it was our first family vacation

3. What is your favoirite Disney Resort to stay at and why?

Gosh, that is hard....WL, AKL, Yacht Club are my Top 3, loved PORi, and do really like Pop Century....GF was okay but like WL better! So, I really don't have a favorite but if I had to pick which one I would try to book first, I would have to say WL because of location and DH loves it there!

4. Describe a great Disney Experience that you had (ex: Suzie meeting Kelly Rippa would be awesome!)

Yeah, Kelly Ripa was pretty cool but my greatest experience was at EPCOT. In Oct 2003, Dad had just had his leg amputated 5 months before and was able to go to Disney with us. In EPCOT we were at the American Pavilion and Dad bought popcorn. Tori loves popcorn. Next thing I looked over and saw them sharing it. Had to get my camera out for this memory. Still makes me tear up.

carolina_yankee, I see you out there, so I am calling you out! Come play!!!!! We miss you!

 Good morning...or good afternoon, everyone--I'm just back from my weigh in and I'm down 2.4 :cool1: :cool1: I know it doesnt seem like much but it really is! If I keep up this trend, I'll just about make goal by cruise time. and then I'll eat everything in site on the cruise...no, not really, but I plan to be okay with a max gain of 5 lbs on the cruise. I can get that back off in a month when I return, and I plan to enjoy myself, darn it!!!

Suzie, that pic is so precious! I can just see it blown up in black & white to about 8 x 10 on a 12x12 page. What a treasure, the way Tori's looking up at your dad like that and he's smiling down at her. I can't find a tears of joy smilie but that's what I would put here. CG, can you come thru for me?

1. What is your favorite Disney Park?

Disneyland...sorry east coasters, but I just know it so well, that when I walk thru the tunnels under the train tracks and catch my first glimps of Sleeping Beauty Castle (even tho it's smaller than Cinderella's!) I feel so at home. I know where everything is, how to get from anywhere to anywhere in the park. I love that feeling!! :goodvibes

2. What is your favorite Disney Ride?

Difficult, but have to say Tower of Terror (DL & WDW)--I LOVE the special effects. Rockin' Roller Coaster is also a top 5, but I haven't tried Mission: Space or (of course) Expedition Everest yet, so we'll see if that changes.

3. What is your favorite Disney Resort to stay at and why?

We are SOO cheap! In DL, I refuse to stay in a Disney owned property (there are only 3) because no matter what you do or what promos or codes you have available, it is approx $1000 more than staying 'off-site' and 'off-site' can be closer to walk.

At WDW, I've only stayed at the Disney Institute townhomes (gone) and All-Stars. Someday, though, I'll stay at AKL or Poly and they will be my favorites (I know this for sure!)

4. Describe a great Disney Experience that you had (ex: Suzie meeting Kelly Rippa would be awesome!)

I would have to say when Emma met Cinderella and brought along her Build-A-Bear horse with it's Cinderella outfit. Cindy spent extra time with her and her horse and taught her the *secret*;) princess handshake. princess:

Also, I made special autograph books one year, all black hardcover spiral bound w/all the character images I could find cut and pasted into the book with space to sign. We used fat markers that write on black paper and all the characters were so impressed! Esp Jessie at MGM, who slapped her knee and went around showing everyone.

I did always wonder what it was like for families who get chosen for parades--Very cool, OHJulie.

CG, I have a very happy, free-spirited mental picture of Quinn in the rose garden! that's what it's all about, watching the kids enjoy and experience Disney uncontaminated by the stresses of life. (except for when we grownups REALLY want to try a new ride and make them wait in line forever with us, lol!) Did you take a picture?

BTW, do we still abbrev it MGM now, or WDS? Weird. :scratchin

If anyone wants to do that autograph book idea, I still have the document files with all the character images. Just print on a color printer, reg size paper and cut out & paste. PM me if you want a copy. :)

Okay, done babbling

I missed about 40 pages of discussion because we're having router problems and can't always access the Internet - driving me and my family nuts! But I like the question game so I'll jump in:

Favorite Park:

This is really hard! Probably MGM because of Rock 'n Rollercoaster and TOT. It's sad but my boys are of the age where they've almost outgrown MK (except for Space & Splash Mountains of course).

Favorite Ride:

Rock 'n Rollercoaster - second favorite is Tower of Terror.

Favorite Resort:

BoardWalk Villas - I could almost spend a week there without going to the parks (I did say "almost")

Favorite Moment:

There are been sooooo many - one great one was when my older son was 2, he was meeting Goofy and when Goofy waved goodbye and walked away, my son began to cry, so Goofy came back and spent more time with him.

Trish, I did the same thing with a small 4x4" spiral bound scrapbook. I didn't put the pictures on first, though. I went back later (and later and later and later as I haven't finished it yet  ) and put in the pictures of the characters with my son. I had little items and stickers, though of the characters and their names on the pages and we got some great reactions too.

No picture - you know what, it's weird. I have some wonderfual, amazing pictures of many other great events, but whenever I describe this trip I always tell people about the rose garden and the gazebo down by the water there with the ducks - well, we took no pictures of this, it was just our little down time event, and wouldn't you know that would be what I really look back on and love. I have some pics of the roses looking up at the castle and of us playing between the collumns in the gazebo but no picture really captures the way I felt or how nice it was being alone in the sea of so many people everywhere else in the park and just having fun.

I can't wait to see Suzie pic tonight.

Oh, CG, I forgot you can't see the pics at work :( You will love it.

Disney sure does it right with all of those kind of places where you can be "away" from the hubbub and still be in a magical place. I'm grateful that park guests are on the go 90% of the time, or those places would be crowded too!

Well today has just been one of those that you want to go to bed and wake up the next day .
Dh came home today and when he opened the door he asked " How long has that dog been laying there "? . WHAT , I never even looked out the front door , till then and yes , there was a dog , she wasn't moving . It was our neighbors Boxer . DH ran next door and they came running over . She was their dog :sad1: . We all think that the 75 MPHW mucxt have scared her and she had a heartattack .
It is simply horrible here , my neighbor lost piece of her house . The roads are closed and schools are canceled or let out early . I am not going into work , thats 1 good thing . Two people were killed by fallen trees . I can't imagine ever being in a hurricane .
CG , it is always so nice to find a quiet spot admits the madness . I tend to soak in those moments too .
Well off to chat with Barry , Heck it's been a whole week :)

I am so sorry ohsodisney! That must have been truly awful. I am glad Barry made it home OK. When I was out for lunch I had a gazebo type thing fly at me. I was more than a little freaked out. It was like being in the wizard of oz.

But being in a hurricane is much, much worse. The paint on our condo walls looked like it had melted - MELTED DOWN. The wind and sand had made it look like this - it was the freakiest thing I have ever seen in my life - that and the fact that the entire front wall was missing and the mattresses were 6 stories down in the pool. My sister found her curtains 7 days later when they were walking to dinner at a restaurant that opened for the first time since the Hurricane in Cocoa Beach - the curtains were 6 blocks down the road.

This trip in April will be my first time back in the condo since the Hurricane. My BIL worked tirelessly to renovate it again - since he had just finished a huge remodel right before it got hit. :sad1:

By the way ohsodisney, see this in the bottom right hand corner of below a post - click it and a new message will open and it will have this as a quote in it - you can edit that quote all you like or leave it as is :stir: BWAAAAHHHAHAAHAA, kinda like this:

And people seriously question why we bring our very young children to WDW! :sad2:  , right Tom!

Beautiful memory, Suzie. It definately made me cry for many reasons. So I go from rolling on the floor all by myself this afternoon to crying tonight all by myself - you all are leaving me hanging here................................

Where is everyone tonight?

We dropped Kyle off at camp - his scout troop camps in every kind of weather. BRRRR!

Now we are sitting here taking in the beauty of HDTV! How did we exist before this? :rotfl:

OHJulie

Alright-CG Is that how you call me out???? PLEASE make sure EVERYONE knows that I did not actually say that!!!! :lmao:

I did a very bad thing to my laptop the other day. I closed the top onto my mouse and cracked the lcd so I have been selling my 2 kids post partum not lost a pound body on the street corner to pay for the repairs! IT might take me several months. IF only I had a banana hammock.....
