Cast - myself, DH, DS age 13 and DS age 10
We awoke at 8:40 - yes, that's 20 minutes to 9 - only our Character Breakfast was at 8:15 and we have missed it! DH and DS 10 never, I mean, never sleep past 7:00 or so - and we are typically up at 6:30 most mornings.
Oh well - at least we're well rested.
We hang around the stateroom for awhile to see if we get a call from Palo about a Brunch opening, but finally decide to go to Lumiere's for breakfast. We did this last year on the Wonder and loved it. Leroy is our server - we notice he is also from Jamaica like our dinner server Ancell, and it turns out they are roomates! DH and I have eggs benedict which is fantastic, DS 13 has the basic breakfast (eggs, bacon, hash browns) and DS 10 has french toast. As we're leaving, we run into some new DIS friends who invite us to Lumiere's for lunch. The kids decide go to Ocean Quest, so we went up to Palo to check out rescheduling brunch. The head waiter at Palo tells us to go ahead and get changed and come back up - but we've already eaten! Luckily they could take us on Thursday morning, and that's the plan!
DH, DS 10, and I meet our DIS friends for lunch at Lumiere's. DS 13 is busy being a teen and hanging at The Stack. This lunch was absolutely Incredible with a capitol I! DH and I had the tilapia which tasted like no other tilapia we have ever had before! Leroy was our server once again. I would definately recommend having a lunch at Lumiere's during one of the sea days.
After lunch, DS 10 wanted to go to the Goofy pool but it was waaaaay crowded. After going through a $20. card in the arcade, he decided to go to the Lab or Ocean Quest, wherever he can find his new buddy he made friends with on the first day. DH and I head for the Adult pool and met up with some DIS friends. Mickey and Minnie came by and we got them to pose for some pictures. It's amazing how the adults turn into kids when the characters come around! Then, as we were relaxing and chatting in the hot tub, the incident (which Michelle mentioned in her report) happened - some drunk guy dropped a shot glass in the pool, and they had to drain and vacuum the whole thing.
DH and I have tickets to Tequila and Margarita Tasting at 4:00. We recognize several other DIS'ers there was well as some other people we've talked with. They served us three (rather large) shots of tequila and two Margaritas. It was fun, but you could really feel the tequila kicking in by the time it was over!
We met the kids back in the room, but they wanted to watch Harry Potter instead of coming to the Castaway Club reception, so DH and I go alone again. It is so hard not to attack all those great munchies too hard, but dinner is in one hour.
Dinner tonight is in Parrot Cay - and I have NO IDEA what I ordered! DH got the Mixed Grill and the kids got the ribs, but I draw a total blank! I think it was fish, and I think it was a new item, and I know I couldn't finish it. I must be burning too many brain cells drinking from those huge ESPN beer mugs.
After dinner the boys go on their way, and DH wants to watch some of the Yankees/Red Sox Game. We watched it on the Dumbotron since he knew we'd been surrounded by Red Sox fans in Diversions. The evening ends in the typical fashion in the Rockin'D Bar.
Tomorrow is an early morning - Golden Eagle Excursion in St. Maartin!
