4/26/03 ....who is going?

This is the winter that won't end here in NH...enough already!! Can you all believe that we are only 42 days away!! Yippee!! Went shopping today and got some shirts for my almost 14yo daughter and swim trunks for my husband...hey..what about me and the 11yo daughter??!!

HI there

Just wanted to Thank You for adding us onto the list!

One question, would anyone know how full the Cruise ship is for our sailing or where I can find this information?

My DH and I are keeping the cruise a total secret from our son. We are going to surprise him at the airport. ( That is if I can keep my mouth from blabbing it to him :p)

You all sound very friendly:)
Looking forward to meeting everyone:)

my sister just booked another cabin...her two older boys 17 and 19 are now coming. There were still rooms available in cat 5 thru 11....not sure how many though.

I posted this on another thread but I had to come and share my good fortune with my fellow cruisers. I just received word from DU that DCL assigned a stateroom to us and upgraded us to a Cat 8. Now I can relax. I was a little worried about having a GTY room and the location I could wind up with. :D

Hello fellow cruisers.
My wife & I were 1st time cruisers last may to eastern Caribbean. As a result we are hooked. We are planning a vow renewal onboard to celebrate 22 yrs of marriage.Keep an eye out for the couple w/ groom Mickey hat & bride Minnie headband. Our group of 19 adults & 8 children will have blue T-shirts advertizing the cruise. Dreams do come true!!!

Congrats DaveinJersey...hope you all have a magical time. What a great way to renew your vows!! Your group has us beat by one...we are 12 adults and 14 kids!!

daveinjersey - congratulations and best wishes. Can't wait to look for your hat and headband, and of course the blue t-shirts. I've added your super-sized group to the list. One question though, as we are trying to bring postcards to the DIS meet, how many families would be in your group?

jillie, I added your two guys to the list.

Here's the grand total (for now) including Toothfairy and daveinjersey and jillie's nephews.....

93 Adults
49 Youth
24 DIS Identities and
35 Families (not including a daveinjersey yet)

That's 142 people!!!!!!!

Later,
DL

Hear this???

1-2, 1-2, 1-2, 1-2

That's me exercising my toes in preparation for the talented toes contest! I sit behind a desk all day, which gives me lots of work-out time. Watch out, Wendy!

As for the two sparring sisters:

Being a sister myself (albeit the smarter, more clever one - just kidding, Susan!), I can say you'd better behave yourselves or Susan and I will embarrass you at dinner with our VERY LOUD impressions of the Crocodile Hunter ("Crikey!") and Clair Odoms from Ally McBeal ("I LOVE that"). And for good measure, Susan will do her Shrek-Roger Rabbit dance while I perform the shopping cart and lawn mower dances.

Seriously, I can't wait to meet you guys and all you DISers out there who'll be on this cruise. It's going to be a BLAST!!!

An amateur might exercise their toes in the 1-2, 1-2, 1-2, 1-2 fashion, but an expert always exercises left 1-2-3-4-5, right 1-2-3-4-5, then repeat. After all, you don't want toes 3, 4 and 5 to get atrophied for you are going to need them for the reef knot tying and napkin folding parts of the contest.

What day should we plan for this contest? How is the first night? (while in the Gulf Stream's gentle tsunamic waves, hehehe::)

As for the girls, they have promised to be on their best behaviour, but that in itself can be scary!!!!!
Hope to hear from you soon, and not too loudly.

Wendy

Hi everyone.....our cruise is getting closer and finally our weather here in Nh is starting to feel a little moe spring-like. I just started stocking up on sun-block...we are family with very pale skin who sunburn easily. Have you all started packing...what are the essentials you must not cruise without?? For me, it is sunblock(and plenty of it), over the door shoe holder and my cameras for lots of pictures so I can scrapbook later.

Better late than never!

My wife, 7 year old daughter, and I are also booked on this cruise! This is our first Disney cruise, and I must say that we are a little overwhelmed by all of the planning that we can do ahead of time. I guess all of this research does help us pass the time as we anxiously await our departure!

See you all there!

:earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

Welcome to you Scott62, your wife and daughter!! How exciting to be getting ready for your first cruise. We went on our first cruise last April and it was by far the best vacation we have ever been on!!This board is full of great tips so keep reading and planning.

Our group has grown again....we were six families with 12 adults and 14 kids/teens but we just added another family. We are now up to 7 families...13 adults and 16 kids/teens!! look for a group with alot of tall girls .....basketball players!! i cannot wait.

Our Docs arrived today! Before you know it we'll be packing, and be on our way!

Plutospup....lucky you!!! I hope our docs come soon. Today is DD's 14th birthday...big day for her!! Is it really possible our cruise is only 36 days away? We rebooked while on the 4/20/02 cruise so I have been looking forward to this for a long time. Went to Kohl's yesterday and found great Speedo T-shirts for DH and cute bathing suit for DD (11yo).
Well, heres hoping our docs come soon!!

We just got the new suitcases I ordered for our girls, they are Disney and light up! They are so excited. I decided I may as well start filling the suitcases. We won't need summer clothes here in upstate NY for another 3-4 months!!

I also got a call from our TA yesterday. She has our documents and is sending them. They should be here early next week.

:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I'm starting to believe that our first cruise will become a reality!

Our docs came today!! Now I just need to start packing. We are doing a week in Disney before the cruise so I only have 28 days until we leave. I can't believe it is almost time to go!

We got our documents on Tuesday! They made my week! Snow is finally melting here in southern NH. We'll start packing soon too. Anyone renting tuxes? My DH and his dad are thinking of doing that again this year but it seems like dress codes have relazed a little. We are now a party of 7 adults, my DS16, DD 13, and DD 10.
#6 more days!!!
:bounce:

I'm thinking about taking my tux for formal night. About the only time it's worn anymore is when we're cruising. Anyone else planning on wearing a tux?

Yeah, I can finally post. I haev been lurking for 3 weeks now and finally got activated.
We are booked for this cruise too.
Got out Documents yesterday and can't wait.
We are from Central Ohio, my husband, 3 1/2 year old -DD and I are going. This will be the longest she will be away from my Mom and Dad but she can't wait to be in the "Kids room".
She told me she wanted to stay til midnight every night! This is the child that loves preschool but doesn't want to go to Sunday School unless the teacher is one of her friends parents!
Any tips anyone can give would be great. This is my first cruise ever and my husband's second.
Thanks and excited to possibly meet up with you all.
Bunny
p.s. Jillie, my daughter's name is Jillian and we call her Jilly all the time :)

Welcome Bunny....glad to have you, DH and Jillian along with us. I am a Jill Ann but my Dad always called me Jillie. You will love this cruise....Disney does everything first class. My girls are older 14 and 11 but they love this cruise, too.

I still have not received our docs...maybe today!!
