BriarPatch slept well last night. I woke to my wake up call and reminded DH of his 9am hair cut. Grandma would be coming at 8:30am and breakfast was scheduled for 9:30am. I left for 8am ionthermie appt.
I filled out my form, noting that I am breastfeeding and taking birth control pills. I met Jeanette who would be doing my treatment. I was taken to a room. I had to put on those fashionable paper panties and wrapped myself in a large towel. Jeanette took 5 measurements. (note- they mark on you with a black marker which you really need to scrub to get off later.) Then she explained the treatment. She said I had no cellulite on my legs. This made me happy. Then she grabbed my belly and explained that this was all fluid because "see how I can move it". Was still deciding how I felt about a stranger grabbing and moving my remaining "pooch" of a belly, when she said I can get rid of that for you. Well, ok! Grab all you want. First she brushed my skin with a coarse hair brush. Not too painful. Then she applied a cold astringent on my belly, butt, and thighs. Then she applied another solution, then a cream. I layed on table on which she put a seaweed mud covered with gauze. Then she covered my belly and thighs with gauze and put more seaweed mud on that. This was to draw out fluid and toxins. None of it got on me. She then hooked up little nodules similar to ekg sensors. Then she covered me up. She started a machine she said was just to simulate exercise. It is only uncomfortable at first. Like when your hand or foot start to fall asleep. Then it felt like I was doing stomach crunches, just kind of "twingey". I know that isn't a word, but you get the idea. During the next I guess 15 minutes or so, maybe 20min, she explained how you can detox at home internally with vitamins or externally with the creams she used. The seaweed was just a way to boost the process and I could continue to lose inches at home. I would need to do the external due to breastfeeding and my birth control pills. We didn't want me to have more babies. (That is an understatement.) When she took off the gauze the clay was hard, due to the fluid it drew out. I looked like I was holding in my tummy but I wasn't. The small amount of flab on my hips was GONE! Ok, where do I sign. She said I could purchase as much as I wanted on board and she would give me a reorder form for when I got home. This way you can buy a little at a time. It isn't cheap, but I had been doing Pilates and crunches for months. I could feel my muscles but until this treatment, I couldn't see them. I bought my products, Happy Anniversary to me! I thanked Jeanette and took my bag to the salon to find DH. Now this is funny. When people walk by the salon, which has windows all around, they can't see in until they press their faces to the glass. However, if you are in the salon you can see perfectly. It is really funny to watch people curiously approach the glass then jump back at the last minute when they see other people. DH looked great and we headed to the room to meet breakfast. Grandma would eat with the kids in the room and we would change for Palos brunch. Room service arrived right after we got back and we set everything else. DS was still asleep, he can sleep through anything.
At Palos we would meet the jewel of our trip, Gemma from England. We got a great table by the window and out of the way. The brunch is amazing, don't miss it. The shrimp and stone crabs were great, as was the Tilapia. Don't forget the sweet pizza. The brandy sauce is great on the shrimp and crab. The dark meat is a dried beef carpaccio, its really good. As we ate, we docked in Key West. What a view. After our wonderful meal and champagne, we went to get the rest of our crew to go to Key West.
We headed down to the gangplank. Got off with kids, but Grandma and DH are still on board. Turns out Grandma was trying to disembark with a KTTW card from 3 trips ago! I calmly, this time, took her wallet and confiscated all of her old KTTW cards except the current one. Then we were off to shop. It was sunny and a little warm. We got chocolate covered key lime pie on a stick (yummy), 3 pairs of Kino sandals (yes, they are as comfy as everyone says) and DS got a henna tattoo. We were worried about the baby in the sun too long, so we went back to the ship. Girls wanted to go to clubs. Braelynn informed me she would not be with us for dinner but would eat in clubs. Briesa wanted to see Alice and play the Wonderland games they had scheduled. I told her I would be back before it was time to eat. Girls got their armbands and I went back to take care of baby and give Grandma a break. At 5 pm I went to get Briesa, she was sittting alone at table with a counselor. Uh oh, I thought. I was assured she was fine, she just heard someone say they would be taking the kids to dinner and she didn't want to go. So she left the group activity to color. I almost stopped to see if Brae was sure she wanted to stay in clubs, but I didn't. So just when I got back to the room, I get the page "Braelynn would like to be picked up from the Lab." So back I go. Girls were staying with Grandma, so she dressed them and brought them to our room. Where is Briesa's wristband? "Grandma cut it off." Apparently my 4 yr old informed Grandma she wasn't going to clubs again and Grandma cut it off. I guess she felt a 4 yr old could make this decision. Oh well, we would just let Grandma get her another one tomorrow. Dinner was Parrot Cay, nice meal, except we got the excellent speech again. I told LeeRoy, don't worry-we will take care of you. Everything is excellent. Grandma & girls skipped Who wants to be a Mousketeer. DH, DS, and I went with the baby. Boy, they let everyone yell out answers. That was different. But they didn't choose anyone with any real Disney knowledge so no big winner. Back to room, exhausted. I placed our breakfast order and ordered some wine glasses (we brought wine with us) and a cheese platter. Two hours later it hadn't arrived and we were really too tired to drink anyway.Tomorrow was our day at sea, our couples massage, the Dis Meet in the Walt Suite, and formal night.
