We have been on the 3 & 4 day cruises, but this was our first 7 day. It was also our first time booking a cruise using our DVC points.

Monday 4/12 day at Sea

As much as I wanted to sleep in today, I was up early enough to catch another sunrise. Had another peaceful morning looking out at the ocean from my "ledge". The boys ate cereal in the room while DH and I went to Topsiders for breakfast. Turns out DS 14 wasn't feeling so well. He was just really tired and felt kind of dizzy. The sea was pretty choppy, so I'm guessing that was the cause of it. He really just lounged around most of the day with very little energy.

I was up on deck 10 in the sun by 9:00. Ran into Denvick and Goodeguys up there as well. LeiLani (DVC4US) had graciously invited all the DISers to a meet in her cat. 1 room at 1:00. All I can say is WOW! What a room! It was absolutely georgeous! It was a lot of fun meeting even more DISers! Leilani, if you read this, thank you again for arranging the meet and inviting all of us into your "home"! Everybody really seemed to click and get along great! We had to leave at 1:45 to get to our couples massage, so we said our good-byes and were on our way.

The couples massage was relaxing, but not quite as great as I thought it would be. I guess anything would be a let down after my awesome massage at Vero! We had two girls doing the massages. There wasn't anything wrong with the massage, it's just the pressure was very light so while it was relaxing and soothing, it didn't really make a difference in relieving any muscle tension. Just for a little background, DH and I have had plenty of massages in the past, as his mother was the owner of a salon for about 20 years that specialized in massages. I might do it again just to relax, but DH said it wasn't anything he would bother to do again. I have to get him to Vero.

After the massage, DH and I fell asleep in the sun for an hour or so before getting ready for formal night. All this time, my older son stayed in bed while my 12 year old was off to another movie. Everyone got dressed for formal night. DH wore a tux, while both boys had on black suits, and I wore a long black dress. My 14 year old didn't want to come along, but I talked him into giving it a try. We went and saw the Golden Mickeys, then had our formal pictures taken. DS 14 was still feeling woozy, so we let him skip dinner with us and he went back to bed. The ocean was pretty rough all day, and many people I met weren't feeling quite right that day.

Dinner tonight was in Lumiere's. Dennis did a great job of entertaining Trevor with magic. I was looking forward to formal night for so long and felt really bad that Zach wasn't there with us. It was kind of a downer, but at least whatever was bothering him was a one day thing, and he will be feeling better tomorrow.

After dinner, we headed back to the room to check on Zach. We stayed back and watched a movie in the room, and that's about all we did. At this point, DH and I have still not made it to any of the adult entertainment areas of the ship. However, tomorrow is 80's night, and I have no intention of missing that!

It's funny. We had 2 girls also. One from Colorado and the other from another country (sorry, can't remember which). Anywhoo, my girl used so much pressure that it was painful. I had to ask her several times to lighten up on the touch. When it was through I was grateful. Hmmm, I wonder what a good masssage feels like? That was my only one.

I am enjoying reading your reports. Keep 'em coming!

Did you make any of the adult theme nights or cabaret acts. Whose on the ship now?

We made it to 80's night, 60's night, and British Pub night. All were great! We missed the Cabaret shows, but I know it was Michael Harrison on Thursday, and John Charles earlier in the week on Sunday and Monday. David Dimuzio did comedy and juggling on Tuesday. We did see Michael Harrison at the farewell variety show.
