If I pay for internet access on the ship will it work in my stateroom with my laptop?

We will be flying home on May 5 - after the Med cruise and we have an 11:20 flight from Barcelona to JFK. When we did the Panama Cruise Disney had us at the airport in plenty of time.

If anyone is getting a van to go to the fountain we (John and Charlotte) would be interested. From what I read the walk is not "right around the corner".

Anyone that is continuing on from the TA to Med is there someway we can arrange to do something in Barcelona during the day -since the ship does not take off until later. I don't know if it is easy to get off and on the ship.Would we have to go through customs again?

I love all the graphics you people are creating. I am unable to do magnets but would love some of them for my scrapbook- yes I am one of those that saves everything=
I would be willing to pay for the cost of some of them.
My Pamama scrapbook consisited of two books and many, many, pages.

Hi all! Wow, you guys are so organized!!

We just booked the EB TA yesterday for myself and DH. So just trying to catch up on the thread.

If there is still room, we'd like to join the 2nd FE group, who do I need to PM the info to? Also if the lanyard team still has extras, we'd like do that too.

We've been scouring the net all day to find a good airfare BCN to JFK, but are having trouble finding a decently priced flight without a hideous layover that is after the DCL advised noon. How flexible are they with noon being the earliest time? There's a 10:50 Air Lingus we'd love to book, but not too sure what the scoop on getting off the boat earlier is. Does anyone have an early flight, that's doing the Disney transfers?

I am also on the Aer lingus leaving BCN at 10:50 am.... a transfer in dublin then arriving in JFK at 7 something Sat evening. ( I bought the tickets directly from their website.... I think orbitz had a better euro exchange rate but either way it was under 450 USD a ticket - one way) . I am assured by other dissers who did the previous TA that this the departure time is perfectly ok
With so many of us on this flight... and many disney booked people leaving even earlier...I am not too worried (slight anxiety LOL)

--I believe it was one of the STORY OF THE TOUR "tours" ... I do not think it was a BEHIND THE SCENE tours. Watch the Navigator for various tours - you should be able to recognize this specific tour. This tour starts outside Palo's (the plates on display are GLUED IN PLACE) ... they tell you about the hundreds of different carpets throughout the ship (most other cruise ships have no more than 8 carpets on board) ... point out the stabilizers ... lots of interesting stuff. Basically, they tell you a story, while they give you a tour (similar to the underground tour at WDW). The tour is usually slightly different each time, as the cast member has a basic routine, but also performs give-n-take, based upon guests Q&A. It's free, but you must pre-register. DON'T BE LATE, they WILL start without you!

I'm flying Delta home...it would be the same luggage restrictions as in the state wouldn't it?

Double check Delta's rules on "International" baggage. Some airlines have different rules for domestic vs. international flights (usually more baggage allowance or a waiving of regular fees)

I read on another thread that April 1st cruisers have been getting their room assignments! Anyone on our cruise gotten a change from GTY to a real stateroom # yet?

To use the graphics in a scrapbook, right click on the graphic you want and paste it to a word document. Print it out on 81/2 x 11 cardstock or onto photo paper. Then it is ready for the scrapbook.

By the way, once you have it on a word document, you can resize if the image is too big or small. That isn't something I can explain over the internet though.

Also note that if you book a separate flight in Europe (such as Barcelona to London only), it will have a different baggage allowance than if you book an international flight with a connection (Barcelona to London to JFK).

We booked our train tickets. The baggage allowance is 20 Kg (44 lbs).

When I save graphics they automatically go into "My Pictures," accessible from the start menu. I have a folder just for all my DCL stuff. I just print from there. This works better for me as I don't have Word on my home computer. (I don't do any work at home. Just surfing...)

We are on that Air Berlin flight because the cost and baggage allowance fit our needs, however, we are leaving on May 6th after the Med cruise. After reading all the potential airport dilemnas, DH opted to just stay overnight (we have a niece studying abroad in Spain) so we will see her, stay at the Renisance near the airport and slowly come back to reality.

I just spoke with DCL & I can cancel my ground transfers (port to airport) in Barcelona any time up to 3 days prior to sailing without penalty. I would then receive $150 credit back on my credit card ($30 X 5 people)... So, needless to say I am ALL FOR a group van to the airport on the 24th for those of us on the Aer Lingus flight at 10:50am.

Hey Dishey!... Awesome! Is there someone who is adept at this arranging? I quite frankly am not sure i'd have the time .. ( I am supposed to be writing a stupid paper right now LOL- justifying the break for lunch)

I am not sure how much $ it would save me, only being 2 (60) but if I know for sure there was a solid plan in place .. and it saved me a few bucks i'd do it. I'd still like to get to the airport with at least 2 hours before departure time...being unsure of the navigation of the airport and security in barcelona etc....
