Hello,
I am new to this board and wondered if any of you seasoned DisneyLand Paris travellers could offer some advice?
We (Mum & Grandma) are taking my just 3yr old daughter to DLP for 2 nights from 18th to 20th of Dec.
This means we will only have one full day in the park. My DD is absolutely mad on Disney Princesses (Hence the much awaited visit to where they live) She is so excited and is desperate to meet them. As time is limited I was after any advice on the best place to meet the Princesses (especially Snow White & Cinderella)?
I am glad they have a Beauty & The beast Christmas section and hopefully she may meet Belle there?
Any suggestions for where we should head would be greatly appreciated
P.S. We are staying at the Cheyanne.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Zoe

You are correct Belle will be in her village so she is fairly easy to meet and greet, we met her last week and she was very pleasant and spent a long time talking to the girls and having photos taken.

The only way, as far as I know, of being definate about meeting the others is booking a meal at Auberge De Cendrillon.

We did this meal and although it's not cheap it is a high quality meal.

We met The little mermaid (Aerial?) Cinderella and Prince Charming and Sleeping Beauty (Arora?) and Prince Phillip.

They all danced first and then came table to table to stop and chat, sign autographs and have photots. All three princesess were English/American and were the same CMs as in the parades, which was nice.

As Aerial was without her prince I asked her if she was available but she told me that they are very happy together and that he was just hoovering back at the castle.

Food wise, like I say not cheap, 55 Euros for adults and 30 Euros for kids before discounts. BUt we got a cocktail each, three high quality courses, wine, pop, and coffee all included.

And we had the greatest waitress ever who kissed each of the girls, told us the meal was special for her and had a tear in her eye when we left.

In my opinion well worth the Euros.

Hope this helps

Crim

hi,
there is no guarantee the princess she wants to meet will be available on a given day, but if it doesn't work out they have sheets with all their autographs in the town hall.
i'm not sure if it's the same as normal with all the christmas things but there is a princess (or sometimes alice) waiting to meet people on the stage near the passport office in the mornings. if you look on the timetable booklet you get coming into the park it will have the information about times. sometimes the princesses also stand near the path between fantasyland and discoveryland near its a small world but there are no queues there so it can be crazyish.
the princesses come out for bougillumnation for the christmas period so you might want to bear that in mind and be near the central 15th anniversary stage when they light the candles and castle. it may be possible for you to stand where she can meet them briefly while they are waiting to go onstage if you stand at the rope going between the stage and the castle.
dd did this for the halloween show on that stage but i'm not sure if it's the same for this one. in any case, i think that's at 7pm so you may make it to that twice if you work your evening meal around it. just remember to wrap up warm!
finally, there is lunch at l'auberge de cendrillon.
this is a bit pricey but a 100% foolproof way to meet a princess indoors where it's warm, and eat lunch at the same time.
we did this twice - once for dd's birthday and once on our last day.
i think the food is great bu my children like tomato and mozzarella and love the fish in sweetie-shaped pastry with green beans and broadbeans. it's not that adventurous imho but some people find their children don't like it so you might just want to share yours with your dd?
the first time was at 12.30pm and we had booked but had to wait a while to be seated. they didn't notice we'd booked a cake and gave us a rubbish table that wasn't on the path the princesses took. i 'made sure' we'd booked a cake and we got moved to a much better table.
we saw sleeping beauty with her prince, snow white, ariel and suzy and perla - mice from cinderella.
the next time we booked a meal as early as we could - 11.30 - and got a great table again. it was nice and quiet. this time it was cinderella and her prince, ariel and princess minnie.
they'd changed the menu by chance that week so we got to eat slightly different things.
the princesses get told where to go by cast members but sometimes they do have spare time after they have et you already - if you grin like a maniac every time they go past they stop when they can.
if you ask nicely they can dance with your dd or have a picture with dd on the throne.

Thanks Crim & Miffy,
Thats just the kind of info. I need!
Where do I book a meal at Auberge De Cendrillon? Do I have to do this before we get there or do you do it at the Resort?
It seems expensive (especially since DD is going through a pretty much toast and sausages only stage !!!) but she would die of happiness if she got to see or better still dance with one of her beloved princesses! Well worth the money for that.
Lets hope Belles a dead cert. Then. Oh I'm getting excited for her now :-)
I heard they had characters at the Hotel Cheyenne at Breakfast too...any Princesses amongst them does anyone know?
Thanks again - so helpful!!

Hi again

I would say that a booking at Auberge is a must.

The place was full when we arrived and was still full when we left.

I would say if you are booking to do it early and try and ask for a seat near the dance floor.

Our table was at the far end away from the dance floor and the tables at the dance floor end seemed to get more time witrh Cinders in particular. And of course they can watch the dancing without having to leave their tables.

No princesses at the Cheyenne I'm afraid - you might get lucky and meet Minnie or Jessie there though - there is an information board just to the right as you go to the toilets and the restaurant in the reception building of the Cheyenne - this board lets you know the day before which character will be showing up the next morning at the hotel.

the cocktails are indeed great!
I'd forgotten about those - plus you can have as much wine as you like (the rose is nice).
You may be able to get away with an empty plate for your dd so you can share.

Hello again,
Do you have to book a cake to assure a good table then? Do you have to say what the cakes for?
Just wondering as about to call the reservation line....
Thank again,
Zoe.

if you go really early you tend to get a decent table. you can always go in that morning and check/plead.
but they assume cakes mean birthdays.

Go and meet Belle in Belle's christmas Village! The one I met was so so nice. She just kept talking to you, if there weren't other people in line she would probably talk to you all day! She's also english which I was surprised at! If "My Belle" is the same as the one crim1978 met then definately.

if you are watching once upon a dream parade at 4pm then if you pitch up at about 3.15 or maybe just slightly later there is a point where during the parade the princess's and their prince's get off their float and dance for 4-5 min in front of you they shake a few of the girls hands etc.
it stopped when we were there at the end of november opposite the 15th anniversary stage where one side is cordoned of for disabled visitors but if you stand on the opposite side just to the right of the path leading to adventureland near to the popcorn stall but right at the kerbside to the road you should get a good view by all means have the meal at the restaraunt too but it may be another opportunity to see them especially if you plan to watch the parade anyway i am sure a cast member could show the best spot or city hall will probably be able to help you too it nice to see them dancing close by and you can get lots of photos as it can be quite hard to catch them on the floats dependand on which side they are facing trying to wave to everybody .....hope this helps a bit

As MickeyMousepal says watch the parade from Central Plaza at the area between the entrance to Frontierland and the entrance to Adventureland. We were just outside the Frontierland entrance and while we could see the Prince and Princesses, they didn't walk down quite as far as us. Directly opposite the disabled area should be just about perfect. :thumbsup2

and don't forget the Enchanted Candelabration the Prince and Princesses are in that too.:)
