(3X Update & FINAL!! 3/24)*~*EVERYBODY DANCE NOW!*~*A Mother/Daughter Feb 2013 TR!

It's a party in Missouri! I didn't even know this many people in Missouri had internet! :lmao: It's the Columbia/Jefferson City airport! They have these new flights through Frontier that are CHEAP(like 45$ one way!) and I'm hoping they stay that way. I noticed the prices were going up for summer but they had added some flights, which means Missouri to Orlando must be popular! :thumbsup2

Oooh, did you do a TR for your mother/daughter trip? Savannah is now saying she wishes she were back in Florida, that just makes me so happy b/c it means she loved it as much as me!

Oh Columbia/Jefferson City! I'm glad you get those super cheap fares. I get those out of Springfield flying Allegiant air. Love them!!
I haven't written a TR yet, still trying to get up the nerve.:thumbsup2

I knew it would pay off for me to be a trip report pusher! :rotfl2: My evil plan is working...Bwahaha!

In all seriousness, I am just loving reading your TR. It looks like your RD morning at MK was FABULOUS!!! It is always nice to get so much accomplished early in the day. Then I feel like I can chill a little and relax if I don't get to all those other things on my list! ;)

I can't wait to read about the FLE part of your trip. I definitely want to check it out on our trip (and snap some pictures of course), but I'm also not dying to do any of the rides really! :confused3 IDK...it will be interesting when I start working on our touring plans to see how I will fit it all in.

Holy cow, you guys really DID get a lot done in 2 hours! I can't believe everything was a walk on! I loved the Storybook Circus area, it was even more gorgeous all lit up at night.

I was happy BTMRR got a really great refurb, it was awesome to ride it and have things looking good again!

I'm hoping you guys have a great lunch over at Be Our Guest! I'm excited to try that next time we go; dinner was good for us but we never did lunch there on this trip.

I feel your pain on being told not to take photos, haha. It's hard! Matt is typically really good about it but sometimes he'll tell me to take photos later when we've already seen things. It got even worse when I started taking video on my camera, as well, haha. But it's worth it in the end!

I am in AWE of all you got done so far! :worship: We got there at RD and didn't even come close to all of that! The pixie dust gods were shining down on you! :goodvibes

Nice update. I'm very anxious to see what you have to do to get into BOG, so please describe it in detail so I can do it correctly! Ok, that doesn't even sound right --- to ask you to describe it in detail. I mean really......do you ever not describe things in detail??? :rotfl:

Coming up in my next update! No worries about the details! I think I got that covered! :rotfl2:

Do it! Do it! It's a great way to relive your trip and extend the magic! :goodvibes

Thanks! I wasn't really dying to try out any of the rides either...well, there aren't many anyway! It was the theming and seeing something new that I enjoyed about FLE. For people that are looking for just rides, they are going to be sorely disappointed. Maybe when the mine train opens it will seem like there is more?

So much done! It was great and I was really relaxed by the time we headed for lunch. I was slightly worried we wouldn't get to do all we wanted with just 3 park days, and although we missed some smaller/off the beaten path stuff with such a short trip, we did get all the stuff done that we wanted to do! Such a whirlwind trip. Someday, when I grow up, I wanna be like Dani and stay for 10 days at my happy place! ;)

I am in AWE of all you got done so far! :worship: We got there at RD and didn't even come close to all of that! The pixie dust gods were shining down on you! :goodvibes

It was a Wednesday, which I think contributed, but also the order and speed we did things. Having 2 people makes things much faster, I guess less bathroom breaks, less people discussing what to do and where to go? It really helped, I was amazed at how much we did in 2 hours!

Chapter 8: Be Our Guest, Be Our Guest!

We had just finished up a whirlwind rope drop morning, hitting nearly all our favorites and were ready for lunch! Well, we weren't terribly hungry, but we knew we would be waiting a while, so we headed to for the line that we knew would be there.

I took a couple more shots of some of the details on the wall as we were entering FLE.

Disney2013443.jpg

I had read that the line from the end of the bridge was around 30 minutes, but was a little taken back when we arrived to find the line completely over the bridge and bending all the way around the corner! No matter, this was our plan and we were stickin to it! Our luck had been so good, what was one line?? ;)

As luck had it, a PP photographer was RIGHT THERE at the end of the line! We got in line AND got our picture taken! They didn't plan it this way, it was just that the line wrapped so far around, that it ended right where you could get your PP photo with Beasts castle in the background.
Disney2013444.jpg

This is where we started in line. Just imagine going to the left of this shot and around the corner onto the bridge that you see here.
Disney2013446.jpg

We were talking to people in line that were told by the CM's that it would be about 1 hour and 15 minutes, but I didn't really believe it. The line was moving pretty well, we didn't stop for too long.
Disney2013451.jpg

Disney2013459.jpg

Finally got to where the bridge started!
Disney2013462.jpg

There was a menu right outside where the bridge started, but the CM's were also bringing out menus and handing them to people while on the bridge, so they could decide before getting up there.
Disney2013467.jpg

The forced perspective was pretty cool, I heard an older gentleman go up to a CM and ask how they got up to the castle! ;)
Disney2013471.jpg

On the bridge, looking back to where we had gotten in line and Little Mermaid.
Disney2013478.jpg

Took this just for Rey, he LOVES gargoyles of any kind. This guy was cute!
Disney2013480.jpg

To the left of the bridge, you can see Belle's house, but not the INSANE line for it! ;)
Disney2013483.jpg

and to the right of the bridge (where we started) you can see the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train coming along! Cannot wait until it's finished!
Disney2013486.jpg

The details were fabulous. They outdid themselves here.
Disney2013488.jpg

Disney2013489.jpg

Disney2013490.jpg

Disney2013491.jpg

Finally at the entrance! That didn't take THAT long! This is where the CM's would hold you and then send you into the building in one of two lines. It was also where people had to wait if their whole party was not there yet.

Continued in next post...

Be Our Guest continued...

The details inside are STUNNING. It's very low light, so without a tripod I couldn't get all the shots I wanted, but I got some. It was inside that the line slowed down quite a bit. Not sure what happened, but it took a bit longer to get up to order than I thought!
Disney2013500.jpg

Disney2013507.jpg

You can see into the Ballroom when you are in line, but the line goes into a narrower hallway of sorts to the right to where you order. The knights talk, but it was so loud b/c there were a lot of people, I couldn't make a lot out.
Disney2013511.jpg

Disney2013513.jpg

This is the ordering area. I couldn't get a good shot of it b/c of lighting and my lens not being wide enough to catch the whole room. It's a lovely room, with kiosks AND registers. They were showing people how to use the kiosks and also directing people to registers (depending on if they had KTTW cards?).
Disney2013516.jpg

Just the details in this room are stunning!
Disney2013517.jpg

We knew going in that we were eating here for the experience. The vegetarian items on the menu are sparse and I had read that there were no substitutions, which is what we normally will do. True enough, when we tried to order the ham/cheese sandwich without the ham, the CM couldn't do it. He said it wouldn't let him. It would take the cheese off, but not the ham.

Since we wanted to use CS credits, we just ordered it anyway, Savannah planned on eating the fries and cupcake and I decided that if I was hungry enough I would pick the ham off. Savannah would never consider this b/c she's more hardcore than me and snubbed her nose at this idea. As if! We got our rose and cups and headed out to find a seat!

Disney2013519.jpg

Can I just say how much I love this?? Normally I'm wrestling with my tray, food, camera, card to pay...and worried about my soda spilling all over my food as I fight the crowds to find a spot at a CS restaurant. The idea of ordering and just carrying your drink and having the food show at your table, LOVE IT! It was as easy as it sounds!

We headed to the West Wing area, but heard a CM tell someone it was full and they could look around and take pics but there was no table. We checked out the other room off the ballroom (oops, forgot the name) and it was ok, but the ballroom was GRAND and we loved the falling snow, so we found a cozy table by the wall and sat down. Even the chairs were gorgeous and comfortable.

Disney2013525.jpg

Disney2013528.jpg

You'll have to excuse the shots, it is VERY dim in photography terms, in this restaurant, so hard to get great shots. It wasn't even 5 minutes and a CM rolled up with our food! Fantastic.
Disney2013529.jpg

My ham sandwich before I pulled the ham off!
Disney2013532.jpg

blurry shot of the amazing cupcakes. We got one of each to split so we could try two different kinds.
Disney2013533.jpg

Disney2013534.jpg

Disney2013536.jpg

The food was good! Fries were great, sandwich was just bread and cheese but it was nice. Loved the cupcakes! They were smaller than normal, but so rich and good!

After we ate, I walked over the the room whose name has now slipped my mind, and took a few shots, but I didn't go to the West Wing at all? Maybe next time. I was worried Savannah would be annoyed with me for leaving her at the table to take pics and also figured the shots would be blurry b/c that's the darkest room of all!

Disney2013543.jpg

It was a great lunch! I'm really glad we did it! It took 45 minutes from when we got in line to when we sat down at the table and for a new experience, that was totally ok for us! I'm not sure I would wait in that line AGAIN, especially if I was hungry, but I'm sure we will be back!

Up next...we want to hit the pool, but our FP time for Little Mermaid isn't up yet. What to do??

Karen, do you have a new ticker??? Look at that! I just knew you couldn't go that long without a Disney trip in the works! Yay!! Now, for your update on BOG. You do realize that I have been singing that song ever since I started reading the update, right? I must agree that the lunch menu is pretty limited and I'm not sure if Victoria is going to agree on any of those items, but like you said, we would eat there for the experience and not so much for the food. I also don't know if my family would be willing to wait the 45 minutes you said it took you guys. What time did you go for lunch? Maybe it's less of a wait if you go right when they open or later right before dinner. I'll have to research it. I'm so glad you liked the surroundings, though. The balloom looks amazing! So, it seems like it's pretty easy to find, huh? I'm just nervous about being in someplace new, as Fantasyland is new now.

Ok, so what's up next??? Did the pool win or did Little Mermaid. C'mon, it's a lazy Sunday....you can push out another update....I know you really want to! :rotfl2:

WOW! Be Our Guest is just beautiful! I haven't really done much research on FLE for our trip. I guess I need to get on that. Ahhhhh.... I did sort of have it in the back of my head that we would eat at BOG for lunch though. I may need to rethink this. Even if it was planned in advance there is NO WAY that Wayne would wait 45 minutes for a CS restaurant. Not to mention, I think it would just kill me to be "wasting" park time! :faint: What's a girl to do? :confused3

I'm curious what time you got in line? And what time do they open for lunch. I imagine even the first people in line have a wait because I'm sure they line up prior to opening.

Looking forward to your next update. I'm hoping LM won out over the pool because I want to hear your review.

Oh yes, you can't miss it. FLE actually isn't that big? :confused3 We got in line at 11:25 and were sitting and eating at 12:15. I have heard that people line up at 10ish for it to open at 11, so going earlier probably wouldn't help. I did see someone say they didn't have a very long wait at all at 2pm???

Have you ever considered that BOTH choices won? ;)

Yep,I went knowing we would have a wait, but also taking advantage of this mother/daughter trip. I don't think Rey and the boys would wait either. BUT, I swear it went pretty quickly! We got in line at 11:25 and were almost inside at 11:50...but then things slowed down inside so it took another 20 minutes! I don't think going early would help, I heard that people were lining up at 10:15-10:30 for an 11 opening?? Seems like just as long of a wait and precious morning park time in my book! You could go later in the afternoon, near when they stop serving lunch?

Be Our Guest is AMAZING, right?! It is just mind-blowingly awesome and so so impressive. We loved eating there. It was worth getting up at 4am to make a reservation. :rotfl: Glad you guys enjoyed it! I would love to grab lunch there at some point. Hopefully the crazy lines for it die down by the time we go to Disney World again! :thumbsup2 I agree about the dimness though, it was HARD to shoot photos in there, even with a quicker lens!

Yay for getting to do a lot of rides that morning!!! We always love rope drop too! :thumbsup2

Wow, those are some crazy lines for BOG! That's too bad that you can't customize items, but at least your lunch was pretty good! The inside of BOG looks really cool too!

I'm unsure when the lines will die down, I'm concerned that the computer system they are using for people to order themselves is slowing things down a bit! But the place is HUGE, so I'm thinking at some point it will die down! Like 2025! ;)

Loving the updates!!!

Yay Liz! I'm glad you are reading! I cannot wait to hear all about next week! I'll be thinking of you girls and cheering! :cheer2:

I'm just glad that I knew going in that there would be issues ordering. I could have ordered the quiche or quinoa, but I REALLY wanted some french fries and since I was on the dining plan I was being cheap! I'm glad we went, if just to see it!

Good morning Karen!!! It's 6:48am. Isn't it update time? :rotfl:

Oh Ann, you are going to have to wait! I know it's unheard of to wait more than a day for an update, :p but I had a photo shoot yesterday and I'm swamped with editing, leaving for petsitting in a few minutes, and a workout at the gym. Here, another shot, just for you...

Disney2013683.jpg

:rotfl:

You now have Stitch spitting at me?? I'm beginning to see a theme here. You are lucky I'm going to be busy making ADR'S this morning! :cool1:

Wow, Karen! You really got a lot done! That's funny that you pointed out that you GermX-ed your hands after touching the interactive wall at Pooh! I would've done the same thing :lmao: That thing seems like a petri dish to me, but I still want to touch it! BOG looks amazing! I especially like that the wrought iron looks so worn and old.

YHEA!!!!! :cool1: The BOG update I was waiting for!!!!!

It looks amazing! Even with that line- AMAZING. I can't wait to try it as I just love Beauty and the Beast..... Belle is my favorite princess!

Now the question is lunch or dinner? Dinner looks a little too fancy for my family's limited taste buds (hubby and kids are FUDDY DUDDIES with food!) so maybe just lunch!

And I looked at the menu and those deserts.. how will I choose? I think I'll just go with one of each!

Great pics, great updates, great everything! Love that you guys got on so many rides. And awesome job on the indoor POC pics without a flash. Totally impressive!

Happy Monday!!

-Nicole

Following your TR.......the title caught my eye cause I am taking a mother-daughter trip with my daughter next Feb! She will be 13 and we both love Disney!!

Looking forward to reading more!
