Hey Disers, we were at POP from the 22nd to the 27th last week. 1st time there after 2 trips to ASMu and the good old days of the Disney Institute twice(sniff, I miss you).

POP is very nice, liked the room in the 60's facing the 70's building. Very quiet which was nice and close to the main building and food court. A few complaints, very bad smell that seemed to be coming from the giant Duncan yo-yo, anyone else notice? True that POP is crowded, getting breakfast during the morning rush is an absolute nightmare with seating a rare commodity. The airline check-in was insane also, I recommend getting there at least an hour early than your Magical Express bus arrives if you're leaving before noon on a saturday. Other days, not so sure.

Crowds at the parks were much bigger than I expected. Our last two trips were in September and November and crowds were much smaller (November being better though). I assume that MNSSHP was the culprit and we didn't even go for that, so we'll skip that time of year next time (no kids for us).

Food-wise, Le Cellier has got to be the best in the WS at Epcot IMO. Absolutely the most friendly staff in all of WDW and a great atmosphere for a great steak, Patrick the host was a breath of fresh air along with the hostesses. We had about a 25 minute wait and they entertained us with obscure Canadian trivia. 2 thumbs up.

San Angel Inn, food is so-so and the service was bad , waitress even border line rude. We had same experience 4 years ago, I'll never eat there again but I do love the setting. Grand Floridian Cafe, nice and unique food was good and so was service.

Mama Melrose's at MGM was good also and we loved the environment.

All in all it was very good trip, crowds were too much but we were able to do everything we wanted because we believe in early rising to beat the crowds. We did have one day we waited on some friends who were in the area and took them to epcot. They were late and that was not a good start to the day, Soarin' was a 45 minute wait only an hour after opening.

Good luck to all with your next trip.

Great report I stayed at Pop too in the 60's building and loved it. I am trying Le cellier and MM next trip glad to hear you liked them both. MM gets some bad reviews and Lecellier has been lately too!
