dmil (87) was supposed to have one big trip with us to wdw (2015)
Delighted she is coming with us again in May.

Will definitely be her last trip though-as travel insurance extortionate (travelling from UK)

Unsure how to spend our last few days on our trip-any suggestions?

1. Firework Cruise! Or some special viewing of the fireworks if she can make it that late!
2. Picture with Mickey!
3. Tropical cocktail at the Polynesian while looking at the view of the castle.
4. Travel the world and enjoy the cultural experiences!

A lot depends on her energy!

I would cater the trip to exactly what she wants out of it.

I also like the pontoon boats you can rent. pack a lunch and make a nice afternoon family bonding time just floating around the 2 lakes near magic kingdom. very relaxing, very easy to do if mobility is challenge for anyone. great way to just enjoy the place.

The whole trip is planned around dmil.
She is indeed in a wheelchair.

That sounds like an idyllic way to spend time.

Past 5pm is a struggle!!

I like cocktails suggestion though.

Does she have any Disney bucket lists? I think tea at the Grand would be nice, a pearl in Japan, a fireworks cruise, dinner with a fireworks view?

ETA that as a Nana, what I treasure is family pictures. I would schedule a character meal with the Fab Five, either at Chef Mickey or Tusker House, and make sure I had the family photo with her front and center.

Definitely cater to her personality and get her input. I bet you're already doing that :) I've never done a fireworks cruise, but it sounds very pleasant. One thing I would consider and not saying because of age...I think it's something people of all ages would need to consider....Are there restroom facilities on the boat? How long are you stuck on the boat, if there are not any? Certainly, something that would sway me personally.

I think not stressing, but having a sure plan to cover all of her favorites would be best, as well as not dwelling on it being the last time . Let joy override the saddness of it being the last time.
