Is this possible?

Can I watch where it begins out in Frontierland and then somehow get out ahead of it?

1. Tight. Very tight.
2, You MUST get ahead of it, if you stay on the west side of Main St.
If you don't make it out past the Main St. Railroad station by the time the parade nears Town Square, you will be blocked there until the entire parade exits MK.

Your best bet is watch the parade near the start of the parade route, then cross over (see map) to Adventureland and hurry through Adventureland and out past Crystal Palace ands Casey's.
When youn get to Main St., find a way to cross over to the EAST side of Main St.
That side will allow you to exit when you get to the RR station.

OTOH, you won't have a problem if you arrive at Ohana "late" at that time of day, anyway.

It might be possible, but you'll have to be hauling you know what once you see it. You'd probably have to cut through adventureland, make your way through main street, cut through the emporium, and then hopefully you'll be able to cross the street before they block it off. Then I'd suggest the resort monorail because I think it'd be faster than the boat since it stops at the GF first.

I feel like it is impossible. If you watch in Frontierland you still will be fighting crowds to get to the front to exit during the parade. It is a ridiculously slow moving parade and doesn't even start at main street until like 3:20. Once you exit the park you still have to wait for the monorail or boat to the Poly.

Maybe, if you are on the Adventureland side of the start of the parade route, you could watch the parade, then move briskly through Adventureland before the parade makes it to Main Street USA. 15-20 minutes for the parade, 10 - 15 minute brisk walk to the monorail station, 10 - 15 minutes to ride to Poly depending on how long you have to wait. So at best make you make it a few minutes early,

The big problem is by the time the parade is ending in adventureland it is starting on Maintstreet (usually has gotten to the hub by that point). By the time you walk through the emporium to get to the front they may have already cut off the cross walk. Now you could be on the Fantasyland side of Frontierland and then cut back through Fantasyland then the hub and down the east side shops of main street but those are almost all sidewalk walking so will but much much harder to walk through. They don't rope off that side for crossing because you can get by on the sidewalk all the way to under the train station but it is going to be much more crowded which equals more time.

I think the problem your going to run into is a lot of people leave the park just before the parade starts and many exit as it ends. It's kind of peoples cue that it's resort break time.

As far as seeing it and getting ahead.. I've done it and even if you dont' beat it, they don't fully close off the walkway if your on the emporium side. You might need to wait a moment for them to let you cross but you can get to the middle of the circle and in the southwest corner is the crossing they open time to time during the parade when there is a gap to let people through.

but again I think getting over to poly is going to be where this falls apart and if lucky your a little late as there will be some lines for transportation, it wont be end of night lines but it'll be lines.

There will be little problem getting to the Poly by 4:15, or so.

if you are late just tell them you got stuck behind the parade you might have to wait a while to be setted but you should be ok

There are no crossings at that Town Sq. location during the day parade, only occurred during the night parades. No crossings at all during the day parade on any part of the route.

Then someone recently screwed up last week. good to know that it's changed, thanks.

I was wondering this same thing - except I have a 4:30 reservation at 1900 PF. I was assuming I'd be fine...

So no crossings at all? What if I watched it on the east side of the hub and then make my way towards the RR station exit. Or stay on the west side in Adventureland and cut thru the emporium?

You can cross on the East side you just have to fight the crowds that are watch from the sidewalk. There are less shops on that side to cut through so it is harder to get down. On the Emporium side once the parade gets to mainstreet you no longer can cross there. They rope off that area by the fire house and allow no crossing for everyone's safety.

I was told by a CM that works Main Street. ( PAC) he has been at Disney for about 15 years that if you have a ADR for any time then you can show up any time that day you just might have to wait and then people with ADR for around parade time do show up latter since the parade blocks have of MK so they are used to it. but this is just what one CM at the MK said ( and I think he know what he is talking about) but I would not try to push my luck every time. I would just try your best to get there as soon as you can. and if you are lat just let them know you got stuck behind the MK parade.

That's not true at all. Unless he works in a host/ess position he really shouldn't be telling people that. I had an ADR for Tony's after the fireworks one year and they were actively turning people away who kept claiming they couldn't make it to their 7:45 slot because of the fireworks. Basically It was 8:20 at that point which means they stopped ot watch the fireworks and then came over. They were telling people that was too long and there wouldn't be tables unless there were no shows. If you are more then 15 minutes late there is no guarantee your table will be there or that you will be allowed to wait for one.
