I just find the ones at home slide of her nose and I spend most of the film holding them on her head - hence why I started bringing tape.
Do these ones stay up okay? I'd rather not be lugging around a roll of tape, but she's frustrated when they won't stay on and and for some reason won't hold them up herself yet... mind you three months from now she might...
my kids were always fine with them, and keep in mind, you only have them on for 15 minutes, tops, for the shows at WDW compared to a 90 minute movie at home.
I was actually wondering if the 3-D shows at WDW use the same 3D technology as 3D films in the theater. Toy Story 3 was the first movie to give kids-sized RealD glasses, which we still have. Would they work at Disney?
BTW, my DS 4 has never had a problem with the ones in Disney; just thought it'd be worth it to toss the ones from home in the bag for the parks if they'd work.
I dont think you'll need to tape - the glass are sized to fit everyone as you dont get to keep them following the movies - they are to be left there. I also dont think Disney would appreciate having to remove the tape
Our DS has been dealing w/ the 3D glasses there since 3 and he has been fine. Yeah they are big but its not that big of a deal. The shows are short. If they fall off that bad he can hold them on by one of the temple's.
Just to put it in perspective the 3D shows are:
Phillharmagic.....12 minutes
Captain EO...........18 minutes
Muppetvision 3D...........17 minutes
It's Tough to Be A Bug......... 8 minutes (FYI you may want to consider skipping if your kid is skittish of bugs and dark)
Thanks for the pictures! It looks like they should stay on my DD okay enough without tape.
I've been kind of thinking of the IMAX 3D glasses vs the Real3D glasses (which they FINALLY make kid-sizes) and the IMAX ones are the ones that are waaaay too big.
FTR - I always remove the tape before I turn them in... the black electrical tape doesn't leave much residue (unless maybe you are a CSI tech!) LOL
