3D Crystal Cube Picture thingys......

Does anyone know if the 3D Crystal Cubes can have 4 people in them? I thought I read that they went up to 3 people but I am hoping that since the last time I was there they may have added a larger one. If so ..... any idea on prices?

I know what you're talking about.. I saw them taking the picture for a couple for one of these when I was there in March.. Hopefully someone will have an approx price for you.. I wouldnt imagine they are too cheap though.. I was at Walmart a few days ago in the film developing department and they are doing these now and I think theirs was around $50 or $60 I think.. so Disney would be more than that I would think anyway..

We had ours done at MouseGear in Epcot. We got the Mouseears crystal, my wife and I in one ear, our 2 kids in the other ear and the castle with tink flying in the center. The only bad thing about this is since we are in the ears the image is kind of small, but still very visible. We paid around $250 since the mouseears is more expesive.

These are a crystal cube. The ones I remember seeing were about 3 inches by 3 inches but that was 3 years ago so size may have changed and I do know they had a few sizes to choose from but I was only looking at the largest.

What they do is take a "picture" with a laser (and I have read that you need to stay still for a few minutes in order to do this) and then etch it into the center of the cube. It creates a 3D effect of your head. I have also read that they have a 2D effect which is less expensive.

They have a stand that you can also purchase to put it on which sends light up into the cube. They are quite stunning!!

We really did not have the $ last trip....I think it was over $100 back then....so I am sure it is more now.

My concern is that I want all four of my kids in ONE cube and am not sure if they can fit them.

We got ours done at the Imagination shop, right after the Journey into Imagination with Figment ride in Epcot. We had three people in it, and I think it was around $100... but it will last a lifetime.
