3D and very small children

Does anyone know if little children get different size 3D glasses at WDW?

or what do do about little ones and the 3D shows?


We went to see Monsters Vs. Aliens movie and the glasses were just so big for my three year old.

No, little ones do not get a different size 3D glasses (at least we didn't last year when we went to see the Muppets show). DS was 2 and didn't keep the glasses on. He still tried to watch the show but he definitely didn't get the full effect.

Just a warning though my DD was 5 when we went to "A Bugs Life" and was scared out of her mind! So when we went back this last year my DD was so scared and didn't want to go in. My 2 year old at the time was also very scared with all the blowing and noise along with the 3d. She refused to go see any of the 3D movies like the Muppets or Mickey's Philharmagic

My dd didn't like any of the 3D when she was 1, 2 or 3...she finally likes some of them now that she's 5. So my recommendation would be to sit near the exit. I always tried them - but if she started crying/bothering the people around us - I would grab her and head out quickly.

She freaked on Tough to be Bug & Philharmagic but I was able to keep her somewhat happy during Muppets. We will be trying Tough to Be a Bug this year for the first time in 3 years!! Wish us luck!

Mine have all loved the 3D... even as little as a year old... every child is different. That said, I always sit near the back, so I could take them out, or rock them....

All of the 3D glasses are the same size. DS2 wouldn't keep them on for Muppetvision, but he did keep them on for Toy Story Mania. Here is a pic of him in line for TSM:

My 4 yr old didn't keep her glasses on anyway. All the shows are very very loud too

Our DS2 & DD2 loved the 3D Philharmagic. That was our first 3D attraction. We rented a movie at home that came with 3D glasses so they could get used to the idea of keeping them on.
Although he loved Philharmagic, DS2 hated all the other 3D shows. We just had him keep the glasses off and DH took him out if he got loud. DD2 loved most of the 3D shows, although I covered her eyes a couple times! They all loved them for TSM. All kids are different!
I might suggest that you consider skipping "Honey I shrunk the Audience" show as both my little ones were scared, and big brother, who is 9, had a nightmare that night about snakes!
