I mean, you could call so that their servers and stateroom host could be made aware - though it would have shown in them by now. They aren't going to call everyone on the ship to let them know.

To be fair, when he showed GI symptoms on the final night, Medical should have been contacted. That is supposed to be standard procedure on ships - GI symptoms = contact Medical for an evaluation.

There are lots of different G.I. bugs. It’s normally rare that a doctor will test you for Noro specifically- however if you got an actual positive Noro virus result, I would contact DCL about it.

Even if you just suspect food poisoning, if you have any sort of G.I. issues, you are supposed to contact medical right away. They will want to track what you’ve eaten to make sure that there are no incidents of food poisoning on the ship.

I didn't know about it until 7am in the morning when it was time to disembark. He thought it was food poisoning. I focused on helping him pack and getting him home.

I've read that they institute special cleaning protocols for Noro. That's what I was considering. I'm not stupid and didn't think they were going to call everyone on the ship.

Understood. At his point I think it would be clear it spread to the servers and stateroom host. It's likely too late for any special protocol.

For future reference - or anyone else reading - even if you think it's food poisoning (or you know it's heat-related as happened to my dad in Cartagena), you need to contact Medical at any GI symptoms.

My son was sick the last night before getting off. He did call the medical people. He went down and they gave him a shot for nausea free of charge so he could be more comfortable going home. ( he did not fly that morning and waited to the next day and went with his fiancé ) . They told him to wait in his cabin until almost everyone was off .

They did let him get on the last bus to the airport. There was 5 of us and all went at the same time. No one else got sick.

We talked to the room host , my son had the connecting room with his fiance. He said they had protocol and he wasn’t to go in that room someone else will. We also told him that my son was on our balcony for some reason he knocked on the balcony door instead of the inside door.

None of us got sick but we know others on the ship did that cruise.
