New York city is on my bucket list as well. My DD is going this spring break with her school. That is why money is so tight for us right now having to pay for her NY trip and saving for our Disney/Star Wars trip but both are once in a lifetime opportunities for us that we are making it work.

On a side note we booked our plane tickets for our Disney trip this Summer. This comes with mixed emotions on one hand it's taken care of on the other we have to go via Toronto and all the hassles that come with that.

I've actually been there twice because of family. First time I was around 8 years old so I don't really remember it. I went the year after 9/11 happened to see my ailing grandfather.

Yeah it's nice to get it taken care of but I agree it sucks that you couldn't get your connecting flight in the US instead.

I am not buying my September airfare until around April. I can't wait though! That's the final piece that makes the vacation REAL!

After doing some research I am now feeling much better about using WestJet and going via Toronto. With United our baggage fees are $25 each one way. So if my DD and I each take one bag we will have $100 in baggage fees round trip. Plus we are only allowed one carryon each.

With WestJet the first bag is free and you are allowed two carryon bags each.

Last year we only took one suitcase and one carry on between the two of us I also packed a back pack and use it as a carryon for the trip home. This year we are going for two weeks and are going to the Star Wars convention so I'm thinking we my need the extra luggage space for all the stuff we (I) buy.

I've flown with them many times. I find the staff really nice. I've never had a bad flight. And the staff are usually funny. Just google West Jet on youtube and you'll find videos. One time the guy doing the speech was like "in the event of an emergency lights will light up on the floor, a disco ball will drop from the ceiling and we'll all do a little 'Stayin Alive'!" lol

Life has been super crazy lately, and work has consumed my life (unfortunately ) I can't believe our trips are almost here! Welcome back! This time of year is usually crazy! I can't believe it's getting closer and closer! I booked and it was 13 months till our trip and now it's 8.5! Oooh I still hope you get to change your dates! I think the next trip I'm planning is my solo trip to England/Scotland/Ireland! And then a trip to Disneyland with the kids! I <3 California!

I'm trying to be positive this year. I am a pessimist so it's really hard but I'm working hard. I am also trying out Eharmony. Ugh *lol* I think I hate it already but I'm going to give it the 4 month try that I paid for.

I think your schedule looks great. I think we may be in Epcot the same day (October 1) and you know we'll be in MK October 5. Probably October 8 too before we leave. I want to get a late flight home.
