365 days of Pixie Dust! -- complete

The next morning started bright and early. We got up and got dressed, and then we headed to the bus stop. We were surprisingly the first people there, so the nice bus attendant gave us a fast pass good for 3 people on any ride in DHS. Yay! I’d always heard about that happening, but it’s never happened to us. Nothing like a little pixie dust first thing in the morning.

About 20 minutes later, a bus showed up. It was 7:55 at this point and we clearly weren’t going to make it right as the park opened for extra magic hours. It made me mad to watch busses from every other park and waterpark show up before the one park with EMHs. It made no sense!

But we weren’t too late. We pulled into the park around 8:05 and headed with everyone else to my new favorite ride, TSM! The board at the front of the park said that there was a 30 minute wait, but after we grabbed fastpasses the wait time posted on the entrance said 5 minutes. It was only a 10 minute wait!

The ride was tons of fun and my score slightly improved from last time. Next up, we wanted to use the fat pass burning a hole in my pocket. We had decided to use our fastpass from the bus stop on Rock n’ Rollercoaster, my mom’s favorite ride. But by the time we got there (around 8:30), the ride had been shut down and they weren’t distributing fastpasses. I don’t know what happened, but I do know that it’s not a ride that I’d want to get stuck on!! According to my WDW lines app, the ride didn’t open back up until 9PM. My momma never did get to ride!:(

We decided to drown our sorrows in “breakfast” at starring rolls. The line was insane! But it moved pretty quickly. I got a Butterfinger cupcake and my mom chose a banana. I inherited my dad’s love of chocolate, while Ally inherited my mom’s love of fruits and veggies!

We all agreed that this cupcake was even better than the Red Velvet. I looooved it! Unfortunately, even with help from my mom and Ally, we could only eat about half. I hated wasting such a beautiful cupcake.

Next up, we were on our way to meet Minnie in her precious Hollywood dress. We were behind the two cutest little boys ever! They were absolutely in love with Minnie. Minnie was showered in hugs and kisses and their parents had to literally pry them off of her. I love witnessing such magic, and I hope my kids will react to the characters like that!

We were up next, and while Minnie was cute, she completely ignored my mom. This was a pattern this trip. Except for in town square theater, one of the three of us would get ignored by the characters every single time!

By this point, our TSM fastpasses were ready and we headed to try and improve our scores. Ally rode with my mom this time, so I rode solo. My score was fabulous (for me anyway) !!!

After getting our toy story fix, we headed to the Animation building for one of my favorite activities ever. The drawing class! My mom had never done it, so I was excited. I knew it was something she would enjoy.

We were a little early for the 10:00 drawing class, so Ally and my mom walked around. When we went in, the teacher told us we were drawing Woody. I’ve never had a teacher not let us choose at all. I was a little mad; I like options!!

My Woody didn’t come out great, but the class was fun regardless. We exited through the gift shop. I wanted to buy it all. It was so cute! That gift shop is always super tempting for me.

After going to check if RNR was open again (nope!), we headed out of the park taking in the ambiance on the way!

Up next: My least favorite park!

I cry at all the fireworks and parades! ha, I'm such a loser!

I always think that the time will come when Wishes won't make me cry anymore... But nope. I'm a loser too lol

Oh and don't get me started on holiday wishes. That's a major tear-jerker!

I can't wait to try the Butterfinger Cupcake!! YUMMM
It's soooo good! I couldn't even put it into words:thumbsup2

Next, we were off to Animal Kingdom. We had a few specific must-do's in this park, but otherwise, we didn't plan on staying very long. AK is not a favorite in our family, and when you add in heat and crowds, it is definitely not a very relaxing and enjoyable environment.

The bus driver to AK was very eccentric. He made the entire bus join in singing a young girl "Happy Birthday!" It was a sweet thought, but her birthday wasn't until October. It was just the earliest birthday he could find. I think he might have really confused the little girl. I hope the song didn't make her too anxious for her "upcoming" birthday.

As we entered the park, it seemed like the rest of the world was too! It was
very difficult to walk and maneuver through the crowds, but we kept pushing on, hoping for a ride on Everest!! The wait was only 30 minutes, but we had an even better solution in mind. If you recall, the CSR bus attendant had given us a little pixie dust...3 fastpasses for the ride of our choice in DHS. We had planned on using it for RNR, but we figured we wouldn't be making it back to DHS.

So, instead, we decided to ask the CM in the fastpass line of Everest if we
could use the voucher in AK. She took the pass, and gave us a rider swap in
return. We headed through the fastpass line, which was currently swarmed with an obnoxious tour group, and were onboard very quickly. We were all excited for this ride. It was my mom's first time on it. We requested the back (it's faster!), and we had a blast!

We debated riding again in the single-rider line (the standby had crept up to 50 minutes), but I didn't want to wait any longer to ride one of my personal favorites, Dinosaur! So we made the hike over to Dinoland, where the wait for Dinosaur was actually 20 minutes! At least the queue was air-conditioned!

After narrowly escaping the asteroid, I stopped to get a frozen lemonade, and we planned to head out of the park and back to CSR.

On our way out, we passed Discovery Island. We just couldn't pass up the opportunity to meet Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore! There was only one party ahead of us, and our friends from the One-Hundred Acre Woods were particularly adorable today! They were all very into their characters.

We made our way towards the exit, stopping for some popcorn and a drink to hold us over until our late lunch.

It seemed like we waited forever for a bus to CSR, and after about 30 minutes, we had finally made it back to our room.

Back at our resort, we recovered from that morning’s heat as we got dressed for our 2:30 lunch at Kona:) I was very excited to be at the Poly! With our bus problems at CSR, my mom decided to just drive to the Poly. It was way faster & way easier!

We arrived to this Hawaiian paradise around 2:00, so we decided walking around would be nice. Photo Shoot at the Poly!

Around 2:15, we headed upstairs to check in. It was empty, so it was no problem for them to take us a few minutes early. After we were seated, we looked over the menu. We had decided to just split two entrees, but we couldn’t decide what! We ordered waters and diet cokes while we looked over the menu. Our waiter was super nice but was older and hard of hearing, so we found ourselves repeating a lot of things throughout the meal. We asked if they had any of their delicious bread (worth a try!), but none would be ready until dinner :(

We ordered the barbeque pork tacos and the Ahi Tuna Sandwich. Both were delicious, but we learned to ask what comes on sandwiches. We asked our waiter if anything came on the Tuna sandwich and he said no, only for it to come out with tons of mayo on it. The menu didn’t say anything about mayonnaise either. We all hate mayo, so we sent it back. I felt bad, but the menu really should say something about it.

Once the sandwich was fixed, we enjoyed our yummy lunch. The food was amazing, and it was a great lunch. Just as we were leaving, the monorail pulled up. We figured we’d just head to the Grand Floridian and walk around the prettiest resort on Disney property. I loooove it! Even with the DVC construction, it is absolutely stunning. We walked around the lobby and then went to sit by the pool. It was such a hot and pretty day. We were really regretting not bringing our bathing suits on this trip!

Soon after, we headed back to the monorail, back to the poly, and back to our car. On the way out, we stopped at the Hess station to get some gum, but they didn’t have any. When we asked why, the lady said it was because it was prohibited on Disney property. Turns out you can bring it in, but you can’t buy it!!

Back at the resort from our fun and relaxing afternoon, we had a decision to make: What would be our last park of the day and the trip?!

Bad news... This is the end of this trip report. My original plan to write about my trips for the rest of this year won't be happening, and I've just decided that I won't be finishing this trip either.
With me leaving for college in a week and being really busy at work, I've found it hard to be motivated to write updates that I feel like no one is reading.

Thank you to all the readers who stuck with me!!:) maybe I'll do a TR for my Christmas trip!

I enjoyed reading along, but I know how you feel! Good luck in college...you have many wonderful adventures ahead of you!

I hope you write about your Christmas trip...it's the most magical time of the year at Disney!

just found your report was really enjoying, too bad you wont continue.
Good luck with college:)

Aww I'm sad your done!! Good Luck with college!!
Hope to hear more about your trips! Especially a xmas one!

Aww, thank y'all for wishing me good luck! And thanks for understanding!! I just realistically can't see myself finishing it, so I wanted to end it now-- that way it doesn't become one of those TRs that drag on and on forever and never get finished.

I think I'll most likely do a Christmas TR because it's by far my favorite time of the year at disney (and not at disney)! And I'll be home on break so I'll have more time:thumbsup2

Good luck with school! I love to read these, but never post anything. I start grad school in a few weeks as well. I have put it off as long as I could. I envy you living in FL, so close to Disney. I would love to be closer. When I graduate, I will be moving to FL, hopefully to work at DIsney as an NP. Good luck!

Thank you, and thanks for reading! Good luck in grad school!! Yay for moving to Florida. I'm such a Florida girl - I couldn't live anywhere else!! You'll looove living so close to Disney and all the florida-resident discounts!!:)

Yes, we can't wait to move to FL! We lived in Vero a few years back but only for a few months. Haven't decided exactly where to move, just being closer to Disney would be so nice! Good luck with school!

I'm sad that you won't be updating more of your trips but am excited for you to be starting college! I decided to go back to school after my kids had all grown up and am now earning my Bachelors of Science degree (graduated with my Associates in Hospitality/Tourism Administration last Fall). I'm taking online courses and looking for a job right now so I know how busy preparing for college is and know you will do great!

Hope you decide to stop on by the Disboards to update us from time to time! I really enjoyed your TR!
