360 degree pictures from London Eye

Hi Libby,

Thanks for posting those - the view looks amazing!

The pods are a lot bigger on the inside than they seem to be on the outside - have you ever been on the London Eye?? I haven't but stayed in a hotel right next to it a few months ago. I would love to though!

The pods are pretty big! You can walk freely around them (without bumping in to anyone either) and there is a bench in the middle where a few people can sit if they want which is even away from the glass if you've an unexpected attack of vertigo...

The Eye is very cool - I've done it twice however both times the weather was pretty grotty (still worth doing though!), so I'd like to get up there on a really clear and sunny day.

I've not been brave enough to do this - I find the cable cars at Alton Towers enough of a challenge - but I loved these photos. If you've got time do check out the photos from other locations as they're all very good.

The pods are much bigger and sturdier than any cable car I've ever been on if that helps - they don't wobble either! :)

We went on The London Eye when it was included as part of the Tussauds Group Annual pass.

I found it funny to overlook one of my old office buildings County Hall ( oh for the days of "Red Ken" and the GLC! ).

;)

We went on this recently and it frightened the life out of me! Would have been OK if the bottom part of the "walls" wasn't glass as well.

Views were good (kids loved it) but I'd seen it all before -- from the top of the BT Tower.

The photos I took from the BT Tower are here. Forgot to take the camera when we went on the Eye!
