So sorry to hear what you, your daughter, and her husband have been going through. Thank God she was able to realize something wasn't right before something really terrible happened. Work can certainly get in the way of the important things in life, but if you need the money (like most of us) and can't get the time off, it really makes a hard situation even worse.

I hope things start improving soon - for all of you.

C.Ann I am so sorry that there has been more trouble for your DD, especially the adverse reactions to the antibiotics I pray that your daughter starts feeling better soon and that her appointment will lead to good things for her health. Sorry about your job not letting you take the time off. I know that has to be the roughest thing in the world for you right now. Try not to worry too much about that and I am sure that your daughter really knows that you wish you could be there and it is just her being sick that is making her angry about it. Hang in there... Still praying honey. It's a tough road you walk. You do what you have to do. When this is done, your dd will understand. If you have no job, you will be worried about that too, on top of the worry for your child. Hang in there. And keep us updated.

I am so sorry she had such a adverse reaction to the medications. Thank God she was coherent enought to realize she was in trouble.

And I realize what a rough position you are in by not being able to take time off to be with her, but like Elaine said, I am sure when she is feeling better she will realize it is not because you don't want to be with her.

Wow! I've been wondering and worrying about you.......

All of you are still in my prayers. Sometimes it just stinks being the Mom, doesn't it? I think the others are right, your DD just feels so miserable right now that she can't think clearly and realize that you HAVE to be at work.

Stay strong - and check any and all guilt at the door - I think you are a wonderful and caring woman and mother!
