$310 electric bill

I figured it out. Nothing is broken. We didn't run a pool filter until maybe late June early July last year (which is not usual for us and I totally forgot about the pool situation). Our pool is usually opened in early May, closed in October. I figured it was a weird fluke and then remembered the pool issue once I put more thought into it. But wow, thats a lot of increase. The pump/filter runs more than it needs to because we use it as a water feature (nothing grand) I never knew and dont usually pay attention. We have a small well insulated house, practically a cottage.

I know. We used to live in SD County. I far prefer the prices we get in OC via Southern California Edison. The utilities in SD are outrageous. The water is also ridiculous down there. Our water bill is under $70/month and gas is around $20.

We miss edison by about a 1/2 mile. The excuse they give for high prices is that most of their cable in underground. The excuse the others give is their cables are above ground

wow, that is a great price. If you were on SDGE it would easily be double that.

And see I was going to comment that it's way high!

941 kWh is reflecting $155.81 for us. We still have 4 days left in the billing cycle but it def. is less than the PP. And that includes a rate hike from April.

Our bill has been a tad lower this year so far, but that's because it's been cooler so less AC. No price hikes yet, but we're expecting one eventually.

Mine too! This year has over all been cheaper that in the past with as we all know, a hotter then usual summer with the AC running almost constantly. Even in the winter it never goes above $80. per month with the a heat pump, two bedroom apt., all electric.
