We stayed at POR last year Christmas week. We loved it so much that we are going back again 12/24-12/30! We are a family of 5 so we are limited in where we can stay, but we thought it was a beautiful, peaceful resort. The kids loved the pool, the food court was great, and the boat to DD was nice. We did not have any problem with the transportation, which has been a complaint from other vacationers. (I think they put on extra busses that week!)

We stayed there last year and really enjoyed. We are a family of five as well. The kids loved the pool and the boat to DD. The bus transporation was a lot better here then at AKL. We like to eat at the parks and other resorts but the few times we ate here the food was ok. I thought the gift shop had a lot of stuff. We would stay here again, if I didn't have my heart on staying at the Poly.

We own DVC, but my heart will always be in POR and POFQ! They were the first two resorts we stayed at and I still compare everything else to them. I just love the theming of both. The grounds are beautiful and fun and the decor in the rooms is nice too. We really enjoyed the boat rides to DTD too.

Absloutely, the slide is King Triton and there are some "jazzie" gators. Check allears, they have some great photos of the resort.

Did you mean Port Orleans Riverside or French Quarter? We stayed at Riverside this past May. We didn't particularly love it. It was ok. We like Carribean Beach better in the moderate resorts. The pool wasn't anything great. It was a better pool over at FQ with the dragon. We didn't like the food court so much either. There were never any tables available and they didn't have many big enought for our family of 6. The boat ride was nice for the kids at the end of the evening for a little something extra before bed.

We stayed at POR in Sept. of 2007. (We are yet another family of 5). We loved it and kept remarking about how it didn't feel like a resort. As mentioned, the only thing we didn't like was the transportation. We got to the point where we drove unless we were going directly to one of the main parks. We ate at a lot of the other resorts (free dining) and it just took forever to go from POR to another resort.
