$31.84!!!!!!!!

Wow, Stephanie! Tell your son congratulations!!:bounce:

My son was the top seller 1 time in his pack and then twice in his Troop. His totals were usually around $1200.00.

He is now 16 and an Eagle Scout. He doesn't really get out there any more and do the hard sell - he sold just under $600.00 this year.

You are so right about people being rude and complaining about the cost. That's one of the main reasons why he scaled back his selling the past 2 years - now he just goes to the people who are diehard fans of the popcorn.

Pam, do you have any of that pizza left? I'm hungry.

Shannon - tell ya what - you grab me a Sonic burger, plain and a Pepsi and head on up! I'll swap you a large pizza and 2 breadsticks.:hyper:

We have a full pizza left over. At least my guys love heated-up pizza.:D

I can tell you don't have a Sonic near you, Pam. Sonic sells coke products.;)

Don't worry about warming up the pizza. I like my pizza cold. Is that full one a mushroom pizza?:hyper:

I buy 2 premade crusts for $5, sauce for $.99 and cheese for $2.
We sautee mushrooms and cut up onion for one pizza -$2.50.

TTL two pizzas-$10.50 and we have fun making them.
My mom says I should buy Chef Boyardee in a box and it's
even cheaper. Who has time for the dough to rise!?

A large pizza, a medium pizza (with 4 toppings) and breadsticks and cinnabons.........yikes, that's a lotta food! How many are there in your family? (Did your DH lose count?)

Shannon,
You're right - no Sonics near us - never been to one, actually.:D BUT - I knew it would be Coke only - must be a South thing - but I MUST have my Pepsi!::yes:: :hyper:

Remaining pizza is 4 slices of mushrooms, green peppers, onions and black olives, the rest is plain.

Shortbun - DS and I love Chef Boyardee (only ones in the family who do), I made some just last week. Last night was a "late dinner, I'm not cooking" frame of mind. :o

swanmom - that's exactly what I said to DH when we got home!

The cinnasticks my DS wanted for breakfast - my last words to DH when we left to sell popcorn were: "Order a large pizza and split it half plain, half with whatever toppings you want." And look what I got....

I don't think he's adjusted his thinking and doesn't realize that DD is now at college and her BF is not over every night!:teeth:

The only Pepsi product I'll drink is 7up.:p

I'll take a slice of what's left. Pretty please.

;)

I've tried to make the Chef Boyardee pizzas. My family won't touch them.

If anyone gets a visit from a boyscout, please be nice to them. He had several people who are very rude to him. I was so proud that he was just able to brush that off and keep going. I would have been crushed. Funny how your kids suprise you with their particular talents.
::yes:: I totally agree with this. My son is also 9 and he has been working so hard at this. You are not just buying popcorn (although the chocolate covered is YUMMY!) you are helping a kid with their self esteem, and helping them to learn that they have to work for the things they want. It is not always fun for them, I do not know what the weather is like where you live, but here sometimes the kids are freezing their butts off going door to door, but it makes them feel good to earn money for their trips etc. instead of always asking mom and dad to pay for it. So if you get a visit from a boyscout PLEASE BE NICE TO THEM! (Besides, you may need them to help you cross the street when you get older!) ;)

No offense, but that price must be gender related. DH ALWAYS messes up the pizza order. "We can always save some for tomorrow," he says. Bah.

hehehehe I can one up ya...

Same order (more or less) and it cost me $68 in Alaska. Yes I know prices are a little higher but this was outright stupid and I called Dominos and told them to stop bull-fooeying me. I had just gotten the same order in AZ (back in May) and it was like $18. Made me so mad.

The guy was like "We don't set our prices". Well use common sense man!!

If I get pizza, it's usually on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays. The local pizza place (specializing in New York style pizza) has a special on these days - $5.95 plus tax for each large pizza (toppings are of course extra). On other days, the price is $9.95.

What is a NY Style pizza? I had never seen it before a few months ago....

NY style pizza is just a fancy name for thin crust.
