30th birthday party food???

i rented a hall - and hired a dj
now what would you expet for food as a quest?
it is 8-12pm
I also need to figure out what to make for centerpieces and where to hide them so dh doesn't see them!

What about setting up a buffet? Do trays of Sausage & peppers, baked ziti, chicken, Salad. Things like that wehre they can serve themselves and you dont have to worry about it.
