30 minutes before plan?

Was planning to go one 30 minute early entry day and also 1 day with the extra magic hours in the evening.

If you had to guess do you think it is better to go Space at the morning at 8:30 or at the after hours?

What about 7 Dwarf? I had thought that maybe the late evening hours would have less kids so maybe Space in the am and then 7 Dwarf?

I am not planning to pay for the lightning lane for just these 2 rides but wondering if it is a mad rush to go to Space first thing in the am.

We had success with 7DMT at early entry. BUT you need to be there early and toward the front of the line as it grows quickly. Otherwise, the line stays pretty steady all day.
However, 7DMT is really fun at night when its dark.
Early entry there are still a fair number headed to Space mountain, but most are headed to 7DMT and PP.

7DMT was about a 30min wait during evening magic hours. I’m trying to remember when we did space, I think it might have been during an early close, lousy weather day. Either way it was like a 15min wait.

As far as Early Entry, we had pretty good luck with Space first thing. But it took the entire 1/2 hour with the long queue and long path out of the ride.

Before EE had started, we had some bad luck with rides being down. I wasted a RD day on 7DMT. We were pretty near the front of the crowd. We waited and waited. The ride was down and we ended up leaving the line. Same thing happened the next day on Test Track and the following day on Slinky. So, personally, I am thinking I will head to other rides if I am lucky enough to enjoy EE again.

That's so frustrating, it happened to us on SDMT, we waited over 30 minutes before we pulled the plug. It's the worst possible timing, we could have ridden 3 other rides instead of just hanging out for it open. Test Track is always dodgy unfortunately, it's fun when you shoot over there from the international gateway just to find out it's down.

Exactly what we had done. (I am not getting any younger and that trek seems longer and longer at RD.) However, we didn't know it was down at first. We got lucky at TT despite my stubbornness. We were right up at the door to the building when they said they were closing the door due to the ride being down. I am usually quite shy. But I pointed out that there was still room inside, so we were able to pass. Then he shut the door. Everyone inside got a "Guest Recovery" pass (or whatever it is called). The people outside got nothing. So even though we were in line for 30ish minutes or more (can't remember exactly), it worked out better that time.
