$30 Fraiser Fir - How much did your tree cost?

Wow! How do you all afford to purchase a live tree every year? We have an artificial tree, two actually. We have a gorgeous artificial Dunhill Blue Fir tree which we've had for about 9 years but 5 years ago we purchased our first house which is small and it is too full to fit in the living room, so after going one year with no tree at all, I just purchased a $30 artificial tree at Walmart. It is certainly not a gorgeous tree, but it looks surprisingly nice if you bend the branches just right. :) The only downside to it is that in order to have a slim enough tree to fit, we had to go down to a 6-foot tree so it is a little short to us.

I can't wait to move into a larger, nicer home (at least 2 years from now, best case scenario) so I can put my pretty tree up!

We went to a local tree farm on 11/27 with friends but they wanted $55 for small tress (good ones were all tagged) so we went to Home Depot and got a great Fraser Fir for $29. It is about 9 feet tall, still drinking water and not dropping many needles.

Much as I miss the smell & experience of choosing a real tree- I don't miss the expense! It was averaging $70 for a nice douglas fir from Lowe's or HD each year since we came to central FL from the NE -sticker shock for sure. Finally got dh to bite the bullet 3 yrs ago when we had a HD gift card and 10% moving discount when we bought our new house. Didn't pay anything out of pocket for our artificial tree and have enjoyed the savings ever since. I do intend to get some additional pine scented air freshner because I really miss the scent!

I paid about $80/$85 from a local tree farm. Its a 7.5' but I can't remember what type it was. I still have a fake one up too. The small trees cost $55-65 and of course they had a bunch of different types. The trees at Lowes started at $35? I just didn't see anything I liked.

I got the tree from the same farm that I get my pumpkins and other fruit.

We paid $62 for a 8ft. Douglas Fir from a local tree far. DH and DDs spent 2 hrs. treking around without any luck. This one was cut by the farm guy and was just being unloaded from the truck. Unfortunately DH forgot to take the $5 coupon from last year. He came home and said it will be Home Depot next year!

$20 for 7 foot Grand Fir. U cut place we go to every year-could have had any Doug Fir for $15 or any Noble for $25. Yay to living in Oregon!

We moved here 5 years ago from Oregon. I miss the multiple choices from there. Especially loved the "honor" paying u-cut place.

We bought a Douglas Fir from Lowe's this year - 7 feet tall and $35.

$25 6-7 foot Fraser Fir from Lowes. The main ornaments on the tree are red glossy apples we've had for like 15 years.
