We got a great deal on our Christmas tree.
We bought a six foot high, nice and full, Fraiser Fir for $30.
We went to our local farm in our area, only 5 miles from our home.
They had a great sale on pre-cut trees - 8 days before Christmas.

Hey - the tree looks great, nice and fresh, no needles falling off, nice and green.... I know it is a bit late to get a tree, but we have teens and not little kids, so they do not mind. Plus they had finals & tests to deal with for the last few weeks.

What did you pay for your Christmas tree, how tall and what type of pine ?

Did you find a great deal too ?

$60 for a 6.5 ft. douglas fir.

$0 I got a hand-me-down tree and when my in-laws ruined it/threw it away (we were storing it in their shed), they bought us a new one. I have been using that one for at 19 years.

Just paid $35 last night at Home Depot for a 6-7ft fraiser, it's on the shorter end but very very fat and full.

They were the only store to have fresh trees in, all the others just had stragglers laying around. The guy told me they just got them in a day ago. So I figured it was worth the few extra bucks over some of the cheaper ones I saw.

I love it. It looks so pretty. I stayed up all night last night to surprise my aunt with it fully decorated. I'm impressed I got it standing straight by myself.

7 ft Fraser fir. $34.99. Decent price, but I wouldn't say it's a deal around here.

$48 for an 8 foot blue spruce I believe. It's huge and full and pretty. We go to a choose and cut place not far from where we live, we pick it, they cut it, then they bail and put it on the van.

we got an 8 foot Leland Cyress for $30 from a local tree farm, 5 mins away from home.

DH cut is fresh on the spot.

We bought an 8 ft Frasier fir 3 weeks ago at a tree farm. $28 and that included the baling so we could get it home. Fresh cut that day. We are lucky in that we have lots of tree farms in the area so very competitve with prices.

9+ ft Frasier was $69 (when a fresh cut was put on it, with a very short star, it comes about an inch from touching our 10' ceiling) but I saw "premium" trees about the same size at this place for $129. They were perfectly shaped trees, but come on! $129?!? :scared1:

We could do cut-your-own, but they are still $50 or more for 9ft trees around here. :confused3

We got a $20 5 foot tree at home depot. I don't know what kind it is, but it's one of the really full, bushy looking trees... We're leaving to go to my parents house in 2 days for Christmas, but DS really wanted a tree to decorate and have in the house until we left, so we just wanted something decent and cheap. But honestly, it's a nice $20 tree. It smells wonderful and has stayed nice and fresh.

6' foot tree green bushy $20 20 years ago so $1.00 this year. Oh and whatever it costs for a pine scented car air freshener.

I can't believe all of the great prices on trees this year! We usually pay $90-$100 for a 7-8 ft. Noble fir. This year, things are tight and we didn't have that kind of money to pay for a tree. We got a really fresh 7 ft. Noble fir at Lowe's for $38!! Can't beat that!!

Sadly, Lowes and some other places that discount trees were paying the growers about $10 a tree this year, roughly half what they got five years ago. I'm not sure they were selling them for less, though.

We paid $45 for a 9-foot Fraser fir, discounted from $75 because of my parents' relationship with the grower. We've had it two weeks, and it's still "drinking" almost a quart of water a day.

Frasier Fir, 8 feet, and it was 25. We also live around multiple tree farms/ garden centers etc so the prices are competitive.:)

$30 for a 6 ft douglad fir from home depot. very full, in fact its so fat its leaning in the corner on my walls b/c the poor tree trunk is took skinny for the weight. they trimmed it for me and i had lots of greens left over so they are on my dining room table and in front of the tv above the stockings. it is still green but not as fragrant. next year i will go smaller, i totally underestimated how big it really was when i was at the home depot.

$20 for 7 foot Grand Fir. U cut place we go to every year-could have had any Doug Fir for $15 or any Noble for $25. Yay to living in Oregon!

$60 for a 7 1/2 ft Fraser Fir. We are in FL so they cost a lot more than up north.

Got one last year at Lowe's for $5 because partbof he top was chopped off but I covered it with a star and it looked perfect.

12.00 from Sam's a 6 ft fraiser fir. Just got it on Friday night.

I thought we were the only ones who didn't have their tree up yet. This season has gone by so quickly.
