30% Discount out on Merrytime Sailings

It’s slow season generally for travel. And for DCL, it’s not an easy time to take kids out of school unless it’s over Thanksgiving. But 30% is a steep discount, for sure!

The Merrytime Cruise is so much fun! I'll be curious to see if other sailings are added. Not a great sign they are discounting so early.

I looked at the cruises that are available. The price is still way too high for my taste.

Was hoping the discounted price would be within the realm of possibilities for a cabin of my choice but sadly not. C'est la vie

I will throw out that our Vancouver - Hawaii cruise price was lowered significantly right before final payment. Very unusual. We used a 15% off offer we received on board and still was able to get a $1000 refund on a SPH (deluxe inside but with obstructed port hole) room.

Was surprised to see two Merrytime sailings on 30% discount for Dec out of PC and one in Nov out of PE.
Isn’t that one of Disneys higher traffic / rate times of the year ?
Early December is one of their slower times. The last two weeks of December are when it gets crazy, especially the week between Christmas and New Year.

Price seems very reasonable. $3000 for a VGT cabin on a 5 night sailing on the fantasy. We sailed a 7 night in early December 2024 on the fantasy and a VGT cabin was $5000.

Early December is not a high traffic time at all. Christmas & New Years week are extremely busy but the first two weeks of December not at all. Same with November outside of thanksgiving week. The rest of November is not a busy time.

We sailed this past December on the Fantasy. It was the first week of December. We didn't book until the end of September but I started checking in July. There were multiple discounted sailings that came up in September. My DD is a crew member and were were holding on to see if anything was offered under the crew discount which is why we booked so late. There were several sailings that went to guaranteed status for inside/ocean/verandah. The first 2 weeks of November, the one we went on and 2 other sailings in December which were right around Christmas. I think important to remember on that though is that the Treasure started sailing at that time. In the end nothing came up under DD's discount so we booked full fare at $3800 for the two of us but shortly after we booked it went to guaranteed and was even lower. Then a couple weeks after we booked DD had discounts available and they kept coming right through the end of January which is very unusual.
