We are planning a possible to trip to Disney. My son will be turning 3 during the trip- does anyone know how to book it? Technically, he will be free for part of the trip and we will have to pay for the end of the trip. Just curious if it has happened to anyone else and how you did it!

Thanks.
Kathryn

As far as I've ever known, Disney doesn't penalize children for growing up. Your child's age at the beginning of the trip is their age for that trip according to Disney. Enjoy!

We just experienced this on our trip! We were at Disney from May 21-29, and our daughter turned 3 on May 25. When booking, you just tell the CM that your son is 2, but will turn 3 during the trip. They make a note of this in the ressie and (supposedly) the resort will send up a signed card (by Mickey and Gang) for your son on his special day. We were assured that we would get something for our daughter, but it never came, so be sure that when you check in, talk with the Guest Relations/Concierge desk so they can arrange something like that for your little boy.

Anyway, I digress. If your son is 2 upon check-in, he does not have to pay a fee to enter the parks for the rest of your stay. We did not have to buy a ticket for our daughter at all, even though she was 3 for the last half of the trip.

So just tell the CM when making your ressies that your son is 2, but he will be turning 3 on the trip ... and he will still get to visit the parks for FREE during your entire visit. Can't beat that!
