We are going to be at Disney during MNSSHP and are wondering if we should go with our 3 year old. It sounds like fun, but I am concerned it will be too much for her. Since we will only have 2 full days at the parks, I don't know if I will want to skip them altogether the day of the event. What are everyone's thoughts? Is this too good to miss?

I've gone with my DDs from ages 1 thru 8.

If you can get them to nap that would be great. It's so much fun. There's nothing like Halloween at MK.

You just have to go knowing that maybe your 3 year old won't be able to stay to the end. Maybe do the first parade and trick or treat and see the fireworks and then see if she's still raring to go by then and decide from there.

I suggest getting the picture over with early before she falls asleep or messes up her costume.

I say go for it.

We are planning on taking our next trip in 2007, our baby will be almost 3 and we want to go during MNSSHP. I was wondering the same thing. I hope MNSSHP is still around in 2007.

For as long as she stayed awake, that is! She loved WDW, and started getting excited and bopping all around on the bus on the way to the party. We had taken it easy that day, eating dinner in the food court before heading out to the party. Since she had expelled so much energy on the bus, she passed out soon after we arrived at the party. DH wanted to leave right away, but since DD was sleeping so soundly in the stroller (remember to bring a reclining stroller with a big shade), I was able to convince him to stay. We brought her on all the rides with us, and she slept through them. I wouldn't have done this if I didn't already find out this worked all week long, since she took two naps daily. Anyway, she woke up cheerfully later in the evening, and enjoyed the rest of the party with us! I hope this will work for us this year, as she will have just turned 3, and can stay up late with little problems.

We took our boys from ages 1 1/2 - 4 and they did beautifully! We did different things different years, but it didn't really seem to matter whether or not we rested during the day. They were so excited and loved the trick or treating and the early parade. Both boys did fall asleep in the stoller but that wasn't until 10:30 or so and they were small enough to be comfortable sleeping in it. DH, DBRO and I took turns going on rides and staying with the stroller. But we all did sleep in the next morning!
