I am wondering how intense FANTASMIC is for a 3 year old? DD is not scared of lightning, loud noises etc but If I remember FANTASMIC was pretty scary? What do you think? Skip it till a little older?

My kids have never been scared of fireworks, the dark or loud noises so they were fine with Fantasmic at that age. It depends on the kid. They do show the villians, but mine always understood it was just make believe. You probably won't know unless you try it. It is our favorite night time show at WDW!!

my 3 yr old neice is scared of everything. She wasn't bothered by Fantasmic. The only thing she didn't like was the darkness between some of the on-stage events, but that was only a minute or so at a time.

DD3 at the time was intimidated by any ride she could not see what was going on but enjoyed fantasmic - I think because it is soo open. She also enjoys fireworks too. Going by your description, I think you'll be fine.

The show was fine for my three year old, she loved it. The wait for the show to begin was TORTURE for all of us, because of that, we will not go again.

The portion with Chernabog (from Fantasia) is a bit scary, I think. Chernabog is by far the scariest Disney villian of all-time. The sequences for this portion of Fantasmic! would be the only part I'd be hesitant with.

I was worried when we took our 3 year old a few years ago...I made sure to tell him before that it would be loud, and there would be fire/fireworks and that it was a story about the good guys taking on the bad guys (villians)

It turns out Fantasmic! was one of his favorite things we did that week-he loved it! We are going back this month and my son has already put it high on his list of "must-dos"

My DS was 2 last March when we took him. He loved the show, it didn't scare him at all. The only problem we had was we were sitting so close to the front, he would get splashed with water and he does not like that!

DS was almost 3 in March when we saw Fantasmic. He loved every second of it. He was not afraid of any of it.
