Okay it never should have gotten so heated that they were screaming in each other'so faces in the first place, but....what would you do if someone whacked you over the head with a parasol...

Aren't videos amazing?
First, because it defeats any potential lawsuit against Disney, IMO.
Second, because it shows what happened, hard for either side to spin things a certain way when it's pretty much all caught on tape.
I gotta believe the 2 groups had been exchanging words which triggered the bystander to start videoing - there's no other reason to be filming that boring part of the line.
After watching the start of the video a few times it's pretty clear that the adult female in the group with the little boy begins wailing on the head of the shorter female in the front group with the pink parasol which triggers the taller female in the front group to attack parasol woman (presumably to defend her friend from being attacked with a weapon.) it's a bit fuzzy at the start so I can't rule out the shorter female perhaps shoving or pushing parasol female first, doesn't matter anyway as the law is pretty clear you can't use a weapon in a fist fight and claim self defense.

Possibly. The way the CM lifted up the teenager with the goofy hat certainly could have caused long term spinal damage that requires that she visit the chiropractor for life (or at least that's how the suit will go)...

Seriously though, I don't see what else he really could have done in that situation.

The tall skinny female with parasol female was shoved down when the CM tried to separate her from the melee but then she hopped up to rejoin the battle and a guy, perhaps with the front group, stopped her and picked her up and shoved her away from the action.

That guy in the navy blue shirt helping the cast member was totally a police officer. I'd put money on it!

That was absolutely ridiculous but seeing how that little boy didn't even seem upset I'm guessing it's not the first time he has been in a situation like that.

I think the guy who came rushing up to help break it up and stayed with the back group was Disney security in plain clothes. If as I suspect there were words being exchanged for awhile then I wouldn't be surprised if a CM had radioed a code to get security there, just in case, and that guy, posing as a tourist, was shadowing them.

The one woman kept trying to diffuse it and even after being called names & badgered, and stuff she walked away.

In regards to the article posted above. The idea of people not speaking up when they see others behaving badly is not new. Anyone who has taken a psychology 101 course has heard the story of Kitty Genovese, in 1964 she was stabbed to death in a borough of Queens. Multiple people had heard her cry out but no one called the police because of the "Bystander Effect", a phenomenon that refers to cases in which individuals do not offer any means of help to a victim when other people are present. The probability of help is inversely related to the number of bystanders. In other words, the greater the number of bystanders, the less likely it is that any one of them will help.
We also live in a society that has become more "me and mine" or entitled based. In other words, that guy climbing over the fence with his kid to play with a monorail doesn't care that it's not allowed, he's going to do what he wants. The same can be said for the idiots playing in the WW2 memorial in DC. Then you add in the bystanders that feel "doesn't impact me or mine so whatevs..." and you get people behaving badly with absolutely no recourse.

Too many people are offended by the truth, you appear to be one of them. It's a video, it is what it is. The combatants could have been pink for all I care. Doesn't change my feelings about the shameful display of unacceptable behavior.

I guess my media market doesn't have "proper etiquette" then. Our market does not name the trauma center the victim was taken to though. It is always "a local hospital". Unfortunately they are saying "a local hospital" as they are broadcasting from the drive of the hospital's Emergency Department.

Does it? Who is the "perp"? I see the video starting midway in an altercation between 2 groups. We don't see what started the confrontation. For all we know the non-parasol swinging group could have shoved/ punched/ questioned the mother's heritage/ used a racist slur before the video started.

While swinging something at another person may not be the best choice, from the video alone, we don't know who the initial aggressor was. Might be that swinging a relatively benign object was the lesser of alternatives. Could be that the 'swinging group' was packing a Glock 9 and showed restraint by only swinging a parasol. (And don't say the cursory bag check at the gate would find something if you didn't want them to.)

Bringing race into this serves no purpose, except for trolling. The context of this video is idiots who have no courtesy or good parenting. From a Disney perspective, they handled this in the best way possible and any event/action from Disney after this incident are something we can debate on. I, for one, think Disney CM who witnessed this should have alerted security of the "physical" altercation which should have resulted in an ejection, but was not.
I see Disney as a place where we go to get away from reality. There is a reason why it is a "happy" place and (unless it happened to you) I refuse to let a few individuals ruin it for I.
