3 weeks of classes..and already

well ive been back to college for 3 weeks--im a sophomore now.....in these 3 weeks, i have already decided that its time for winter break! i cant believe im ready for it to be over again already!!
okay, sorry, just had to vent a bit! i mean, who wants winter, espeically because i HATE snow!

I can relate - even though it was over 20 years ago. Seems like the sophomore year was so tough because you're often still taking prerequisites and you aren't taking the classes you want to be taking in your major because you don't take them until you're a junior or a senior.

Can you talk with juniors or seniors there to see if they've been through the same feelings you're experiencing, and how they handled it?

Well, then, I'm feeling better now. Glad it wasn't serious. You just brought back lots of old emotions to this woman!

Anyway, I hope the time flies until your vacation. We're going to Australia and New Zealand over Christmas break, so I understand the anticipation!!

Time will fly -- believe me! Sophomore year can be hard because the reality of all of your classes -- both the ones you've taken and the ones you still have to take -- kind of sets in, especially since you don't have that beginning of the year rush like you did as a freshman. Still, the semester will kick into gear soon enough, and you'll be so busy that winter break will be here before you know it.

I'm already wondering how it's the middle of September -- between research for work, classes, clubs and spending time with my friends, I haven't had a minute to myself since school started! I'm determined to enjoy the rest of my senior year, because I know graduate school is an entirely different beast than undergraduate education, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't counting down the days until graduation.

Me too! Time is just flying by! I graduate in May and since I have no idea what I want to do yet, I'm just hoping everything slows down a little

Oh I know the feeling! I've just started my college (UK style so it's sixth form for 2 years before university) and I can't cope with it all! Maybe it's because I've had three months off, maybe it's because it's really quite different - I don't know - but I just cannot wait for the weekend. I've only been there a week and a half but I'm thanking the lord that I'm going to miss two weeks for China next week.

Maybe if we stick together we can get through this!

You know, I think we can! Today wasn't so bad, mainly because I was running round reminding teachers that I'm going to be going to China on Tuesday but even without that it was almost fun!
