This is how our wedding trip is looking:

Arrive Thursday.

I will move to Grand Floridian (Main Building :cloud9:) on the Monday the wedding is Tuesday so Jack will stay with me Tuesday night and we are staying there Wednesday night too.

Thur - Thur - another Resort

Thur - Thur - another Resort

(Jack would rather not move hotels during the alst two weeks, but I'm not sure.)

Now, for the first 5 days my parents are at AKL, so we are tempted to stay with them (We LOVE it) but I also really want to stay at Coronado Springs and we like Wilderness Lodge.

For the last two weeks Jack wants to stay at BLT, but I would rather have a week at the Boardwalk then a week at BLT.

BUT if we do stay at Coronado for the first few days, and then stay BW and BLT will I miss AKL too much?

Where would you guys stay?

(As you may know, offsite is not an option, definitely not for Jack, he won't hear me out at all on the idea!)

Hi,

I am not really an 'on-site' expert as we as you probably know generally stay in a villa most of the time.

If you presumably do not mind the packing/un-packing of moving to different hotels I would personally ensure at least part of your holiday is at an EPCOT resort hotel.
As you are already staying at the Grand Floridian, you have the advantage of being close to Magic Kingdom and also on the monorail route.

To be honest only EPCOT or MK resorts appeal to me, as I can see many advantages with both locations. MK, GF,Poly, Monorail, Contemporary/BLT at one, and BWV, BCV, Swan & Dolphin, EPCOT at the other.
So lots to enjoy at both.

With the Boardwalk rooms recently renovated I would choose that at some stage for your holiday.

Thanks Johnny, I'm actually trying to convince my parents of the Boardwalk, but my Mum is so in love with the look of AKL that I think she'll stick with that.

I just worry my Dad will get itchy feet not being able to get anywhere other than by bus.

I've been trying to decide what to do next year ourselves for our 5th anniversary trip.
We are going to stay for 3 1/2 weeks and going to do GF first for 5 or 6 nights and then either BW or Wilderness Lodge and finally BLT, I've been thinking if we stay WL then it's a little to much in the same area and probably should go with BW?

We always move around different resorts (including offsite) each trip so if the unpacking doesn't bother you stay at the different resorts. I've even been know to transfer our bags to the next resort with the clothes on the hangers! less unpacking..LOL

Our only on-site stay was actually at the Boardwalk, and to be honest back then, in 2006, we were dissapointed with the room. However, they have all been renovated now and the location is ideal.
I couldn't stay at a disney resort to be honest unless it was close to a theme park, either by monorail or walking distance.
For me it's the location that is the appeal, and I would prefer EPCOT or Magic Kingdom area myself.

From pictures and visit Animal Kingdom Lodge, Polynesian and Boardwalk are the ones that most appeal :goodvibes

I stayed at CS before and whilst it is a nice resort - I would pick WL or AKL over this one. WL has a better location, AKL has better restaurants, both have similar theming.
Have you moved resorts in the middle of the stay before - if you haven't just wanted to say is very easy - give your luggage to bell services and it will rock up in your next hotel - yay!

I haven't read everyone elses replies yet - but i will do that in a minute;)

But if it was me - I would stay with your parents at AKL, otherwise you run the risk of feeling like you are missing out (plus it would mix things up a bit to spend a few days with other people).

Then I would go with your plan of Boardwalk followed by BLT - that way you both get BLT at the end, but I think a week in an Epcot resort would be a nice balance.

Hope that helps - happy planning!:lovestruc
