3 week orlando stay

im not sure wether to go for the full 3 week in disney or move to another hotel/villa for one week

i dont want to have paid for the disney dining and hotel and find we are spending lots of time away from disney and eating at other restraunts towards the end of the holiday

can u arrange to get a car from your hotel as we do not want the car for the full duration of the holiday ?

you have a car center at the Dolphin
rentals in WDW are operated by Alamo
you'll get free shuttle to and from your hotel

so all you need to do is book your car for the length of your choosing. Select your pickup/dropoff station, and you're all set

ETA ; on the alamo website, choose country 'usa' and tick "city", you'll get a dropdown with several choices including :
- Orlando, Orl Walt Disney Car Care (next to MK toll plaza)
- Orlando, Walt Disney Dolphin Resort
- Buena Vista Palace (in the Downtown Disney Hotel Plaza)

DH rented a car for some fishing trips on our last hols, from a hotel near to DTD (the name escapes me) but he had no problems picking up etc

Yes if you hire with alamo you can collect from disney car care centre which is near MK. Alamo pick you up in a shuttle bus and in reverse drop you at your hotel or a park. We've used it twice.

Also a Dollar office in the first hotel opp DTD (used to be Regal Sun) often the cheapest of all the onsite rental locations.
Pre-book in UK if poss, you will pay about half walk up rate.
