Unfortunatly, we're not done with the rain quite yet. I do have to say, it did work to our advantage that morning. That downpour that kept us at the French Quarter longer than planned really scared off most of the crowds so lines were non-exhistant for the first few hours of the day.

I'm super excited about finally posting the surprise character. Hopefully that chapter will be up within the next couple of days.

Wow, your DH must be some Christmas Story fan if the leg lamp alone will convince him of a trip. Just a word of warning though, it's not as racy as the one in the movie (not flesh-colored and no fishnets) if that's why he's interested , but it is a leg lamp in the window nonetheless.

I see you guys are in Ohio. I heard that there's a museum in the house where they filmed part of A Christmas Story in Cleveland. You guys ever been there?

I've never been there, but heard of it. And alos either that house, or another one was used in Back to the Future as well. I'd have to search and look for it, but I think it might've been the same house.

I've never done Mission Space, it is not my cup of tea that is for sure. I do love Test Track though.

I always can count on you to understand what it's like to have a rainy trip. It's kind of a bummer, but then again, you're at Disney World so it's not too bad.

Yeah, I don't think you'd much care for Mission SPACE. It's really one of the more intense things at Disney I think (reguardless of what that CM told us).

Cool about the bobsled at Sum of All Thrills. My dad said he wants to try that so maybe we'll do that one instead of a roller coaster when we go.

Yesh, quick afternoon showers are much more common through most of the year here, but in the winter you never know if it's going to rain for an hour or for days.

The bobsled was pretty fun- certainly a more unique experience than another roller coaster in a theme park.

Buzz and I couldn’t get a hold of Mom and Dad, so while we waited to hear from them, we spent some time hanging out in Future World.

We spent some time in MouseGears. Gotta love all the hidden details here like Scrooge McDuck and Gyro from Duck Tales in one of the windows in the store.

After looking around MouseGears for a bit, I decided to cross over to the other side of Innoventions to see if I could find any characters. I had found Marie around that area in August, and before the trip, I had seen some trip reports where people had seen some more unusual characters there like Max or the Penguin from Mary Poppins, both of which I haven’t seen out in years, so I figured this could be a good spot.

Inside the hallway between the exit of Character Spot and where the 25th Anniversary Gallery, I found Lilo doing meet-and-greets. I was a little disappointed since Lilo isn’t that unusual to see, but honestly, I don’t see her out all that much and never without Stitch, so I thought it was cool.

No sooner had I said good-bye to Lilo than who should appear but…

Snow White’s Prince! I’ve hardly ever seen him out and never without Snow White, so it was quite a surprise. Back in high school, I got to play The Prince in a video version of “Snow White” for one of my classes and my costume was based off of Disney’s Prince, so it’s always cool to be able to meet him in the parks like this.

Not long after leaving the characters, we heard back from Mom and Dad and all decided to meet up near the Pin Station in Innoventions Plaza where Buzz was doing a little pin shopping. Turns out Mom and Dad managed to do Soarin’ that morning with practically no wait and then moved on to Living With the Land (another one of Dad’s favorites, I think, since he loves gardening) and Honey I Shrunk the Audience with similarly short waits.

Although a fun morning in Future World was had by all, World Showcase was about to open and we wanted to be able to head there as soon as possible to get a little exploring in before our lunch ADR in Germany. Along the way, we checked out some of the various Chrtistmas trees and decorations in the area.

EPCOT’s signature Christmas Tree. The area around it seemed a little empty with no stage or Lights of Winter, but the tree still looked nice.

It really was a fantastic meet-and-greet, especially since it was such a surprise.

I thought it was cool that they had Scrooge and Gyro represented since you don't see much of them represented in the parks. Hope you find them on your next trip.

What is Snow White's Princes name?

He doesn't really have one.; he's just called "The Prince" and is sometimes refered to as his nickname "The Snow Prince". When I got his autograph on a previous trip, he signed as "The Prince".

All caught up now! Epcot looks lovely with the decorations up, just a shame about the rain, but as you say, you're still in WDW!

I've never seen The Prince before! That was a really good character meet. And i agree about Enchanted, I love that film and wish they did more in the parks about it!

EPCOT did look really nice for Christmas. I was wondering just how festive it would be since I knew that had cut down on decorations like the Lights of Winter this year, but it still looked great.

The Prince really was awesome. I’d only ever seen him either at special events or in front of the Forecourt Stage when a performance of the Castle show is cancelled. He’s defiantly not the type of character to expect to be out randomly like that- and in Future World of all places!

Enchanted seems like such a well-liked film, especially for Disney fans, that it’s amazing that it has such little presence in the parks.

Love the prince meeting! We've never seen him out alone and probably the only times we've seen the princes was the Pirate and Princess party. It's always fun to find those rare characters!

Defiantly! I always love to see the rare characters out, and it just seemed extra-special that it was The Prince.

Skipping Mexico (the weather was still holding and we figured we would come back once it started raining again), we began our day in World Shwcase by headed experiencing a bit of Christmas in Norway.

Since we had pretty much skipped Norway in August, it was nice to explore it again- especially with it being all decorated for the Holidays.

Next, we passed through Germany to see a little of their Christmas decorations. It’s become a tradition for us to visit the Nutcracker statue here. Some years they have some and other years they don’t, so it was nice to see that it was here.

Snow White was nowhere to be found, but the area around her Wishing Well was decorated with poinsettias.

Over at the Railway Garden, the miniature village was decorated for the season.

A new addition since last time we were here- a wedding at the church (in August, only the nun sitting outside the church was there).

We knew that we would be back to explore Germany more around lunch, so we moved on to check out Italy, which was also festively decorated for the season.

Wouldn’t it be cool if you could ride these around World Showcase Lagoon?

Just to show how empty EPCOT was at this point of the day- Italy was completely devoid of any other guests at the moment.

Thanks Dawn. Despite all the rumblings I'd heard of EPCOT cutting back on the Christmas decorations this year, I thought the park really looked beautiful and festive. The detail of even decorating the Railway Garden shows that, I think.

Thanks for the heads-up about your TR. I'll head over there to check it out. You always seem to have the best luck with rare characters (wasn't it you that found Megara from Hercules last time?) so I can't wait to see who you got to meet.

Wow! I am amazed that Epcot crowds were so light on a soggy day! That's the first park our family would head to if the weatherman was calling for 100% chance of rain!

(We could spend hours inside Innoventions, couldn't you?)

Oh well, that was fine and dandy for your touring!

Double Wow on meeting Snow White's Prince Charming! I've never seen him before, with or without his princess!
