3 Surprising Things About Working at Expedition Everest

I enjoyed reading this a LOT. Reading a different perspective from someone writing about one of my favorite rides was great, and for me it's always enjoyable to learn new and different things about a part of DW that's so wonderful, special, and fun.

Thanks, Dustin. Great idea, and fun reading for sure.

Fun read, Dustin. I remember thinking to myself while watching a CM load the wait-stalls at 7DMT how much harder that looks than I ever gave it credit. Tetris is a great analogy.

I'm surprised the Yeti controversy wasn't covered. :rotfl:

probably because the only ones who make a big deal about it are podcasters and poel on message boards. The latest story I've herd from Jim hill is that parts of the hydraulics for it weren't lubricated properly before it was installed any they were lubricated after installation, and it apparently seized up and the only way to fix is to take the ride down as they need to remove part of the track around it to get in to fix it properly. Since the ride itself is still operable without it working DAK park management doesn't want to take down a high capacity ride just to fix the yeti.

Most likely once Avatar land opens they will be able to take it down to spend the time and money to fix it properly.
