Hi.. I am curious... I am getting tickets from Undercover Tourists -- does anybody know if they will mail over the paper ticket or is it a plastic one?

Additionally -- I know I can add tickets to my KTTW -- but since I am transferring resorts a couple of times can the tix be switched up with my keys each time? OR if I add tix to my first stay's key will the tix remain active on that key after check out? I just rather have plastic than paper if possible :)

Found this on the UT website FAQ:

My tickets are paper, shouldn't they be plastic? Also, can I laminate them?

That used to be the case, but it changed a few years ago, they are all TYVEK coated (a paper/plastic blend), which is water resistant and remarkably durable. They are exactly the same tickets you would receive from the Theme Park ticket windows. In addition some tickets are plastic if you bought them from a theme park hotel along with your hotel reservation (i.e. your tickets are combined with your room key).

Please do NOT laminate them, they won't work!

You won't be able to switch the tickets when you change resorts unless something has recently changed. In general, partially used tickets are not transferred. (I have read one report that it can be done, but that it is very, very time consuming and only a few CMs know how to actually do it. Go ahead and ask, but be prepared to be told sorry, no).

If you put your tickets on the first resort's KTTW, the tickets will remain active on that key until they are all used up. That's a long time if they have the no expiration feature on them. :)

I accidently washed my son's PAP when we got home. It was in the pocket of the shorts he had on when he got drowned on Splash Mt and had to buy new clothes. So it was in a pair of soaked shorts for two days in a plastic bag. I ran that load through the washer and dryer when we got home. I found it in the dryer, looking just like it did when we got it. No ink running, no fraying, not ruined in any way.

We always have PAPs, so we don't have our tickets on our room key ever. I never understood why people don't like the "paper" tickets?

If you do put your ticket on the first room key, just keep using that room key for your ticket until it is used up. So you'll be carrying around two room keys - one as a ticket and one as a room key to include the dining plan if you have it and for charging privileges if you add them.

Maybe it's me, but give me the Tyvek over a Disney room key ANY DAY! I don't know where Disney buys those keys but they need a new vendor.

A Disney hotel key must be treated as if it were an invalid. It must NEVER come in contact with a credit card, a cell phone or basically ANYTHING! I spent three weeks recently in a Marriott. Tossed key in the purse, dug out at the end of the day and "Viola" the door opened. Try that at Disney. GASP! The key was in the purse with a cell phone (actually two)... it will NEVER work again! LOL! And of course you will be "punished" for failure to properly treat the key, you know have to stand in a 45 minute line to get a new key. YUCK!

My AP seems much less "sensitive" then a Disney room key!
