Well I guess I should say first...that the CR is like my most favorite place in the world....so I am not exactly unbiased here.... however I guess I would have to say it depends on how chummy the 3 adults are (and the ages of the kids)....now I could happily share a room with my mom and/or sister and DH and kids and have a great time...however if you put me in a room with my family and my MIL...I would probably throw myself off of the balcony before the 3 days were up!!
The rooms at the CR are very large and with 2 queens and a very comfortable (regular twin bed sized) daybed the rooms can easily accomodate 5...but they still have 1 bathroom and no sink/vanity outside of the bathroom.
If you don't mind the lack of privacy then it is hard to beat the CR....if your group can use a little distance at times or people don't want to sleep together or you have a teenaged girl in the group that needs 8 hours/day in the bathroom...then best go for Pop.
