Where can I find out everything I need to know about the 3 night cruise?

We have never been on a cruise before. I would appreciate any feedback or suggestions. Thanks

Well, you can ask here and you'll get lots of answers. :)

And you can also check out the website of the King & Queen of 3-night cruises, Barb & Tony. They have done close to 30 DCL cruises and they can tell you anything you need to know about the 3-night cruises especially:

www.castawayclub.com

Welcome to the cruise board! :)

Realpatt, welcome neighbor. We've been on a 7 day in January and we'll be taking a 3 day 10/17. I'll be happy to try and answer any questions you might have.

You'll be flooded with answers and opinions. Start with the DCL brochure though - it has lots of great info!

I have a couple of preliminary questions;

We will be driving, is it best to stay at a hotel that allows you to leave your car parked there? We will be going over Easter so the rates are likely to be higher than usual, but it's just for one night. We are also DVC members and have thought about trying to get a night at Vero Beach, is that too far away? How much does it cost to park at the dock/port?

We are just going on a 3 night cruise, I am wondering how much we want to do in Nassau the 2nd day or can we spend the day on the boat and not feel bored. We have children 5 & 10 who would love to spend the day at Atlantis (renting a room at Comfort Inn), but I feel that we have paid so much for the cruise do we really want to spend another couple hundred doing something else? If we were doing a 7 night cruise I'd be more interested I think. On the other hand it sounds so fun I hate to miss it.

Those are some inital questions, thanks for any feedback.

I think Vero Beach is a little too far for the night before the cruise. Maybe some else who has actually been there can answer that part.

We drove down for our cruise in January and it took about 7 1/2 hours. Parking at the port was $8/day then. We stayed at the Comfort Suites in Cocoa Beach the night before so we drove to the port. For our October cruise we are staying at the Radisson and haven't decided yet if we are going to use their shuttle or not. Probably will and then we can have 3 more Bahama Mamas:p

As far as Atlantis goes we are doing it in October for the first time. If you break out the cost of the room by the number of people in your party it really isn't too bad since there is no additional admission to the water park/slides. We got a room for about $150 for the 3 of us- that breaks out to about $50 each for the day. A single admission to Carowinds is around $30 for an adult now so we figured it would be worth it to see what Atlantis was all about.

Just another way to look at the cost. Hope this helps.
